Celebrating Fiction Writing on Open Salon

OS Weekend Fiction Club

OS Weekend Fiction Club
December 31
Hello fiction writers of OS! Here you'll find weekly prompts for Fiction Weekend, as well as links to stories written for each Fiction Weekend Open Call._____________________ EVERYONE is welcome to participate in the open calls. THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS TO WRITE A FICTION PIECE! __________________________________ Here's how to take part in Fiction Weekend: 1. Every Monday, a prompt will be posted here. Come by and check it out. 2. Ideally, try to write a fiction story based on the prompt. But if the prompt doesn't inspire you, you can write a story on any topic you like - THE ONLY RULE IS THAT IT HAS TO BE A WORK OF FICTION. 3. On Thursday night or Friday morning-ish, the Stories List will be posted for that week. If you've written a story, announce it in the comments section of this post. Please include a short description and the title. 4. Show support for your fellow participants: If possible, please try to read and comment on at least three stories. ________________ For more information, or if you have any questions, please see the list of links below, or feel free to contact me!__________Happy reading and writing!

Fiction Weekend Prompt and Stories List for 1/125-1/27 2013

Rate: 5 Flag

This week's prompt is inspired by a question on an English Quiz:

Write a story that incorporates this sentence:  Unfortunately, Peter has few friends in Tacoma.

Or, if this prompt doesn't inspire you, you can also write a short story about any subject you like; the only requirement is that it be a FICTION story.

For more information about that, or about how to participate in Fiction Weekend in general (everyone's welcome - it's not really a club), please feel free to check out this post concerning all that.

Don't forget: this is the prompt AND stories list post, so once you've written your story, come back here and announce it in the comments section.

I posted chapter five of the Cayman Islands Air Banner, along with earlier entries. Cheers.
Mine was "Peter" but I put it over on OUR Salon.
Brazen Princess asked me to announce her story, as she was having trouble getting her comment to appear here - hopefully this isn't a sign of OS getting all buggy again....

Her story is called "Beyond Triggers". If you haven't read it yet, feel free to check it out!
