I am a poor organizer at best but am opening the floor for discussion. New Old Lefty has offered his palatial home in Eugene for the meetup with an offer to put us up. (Or put up with us...)
So, it's a sleepover!
Speaking human geographically, I feel inclined to ask our fellow Pacific Northwesterners if they would like to come. Hawley, I know that Orcas Island is a “fer piece” but please know that you are welcome by ferry, airplane, train and/or car.
(I seem to recall that Lonnie Lazar and Marytkelly met up once at an Obama rally but that date is one that a lot of our PNW folks cannot make.)
froggie has agreed to co-chair. (Thanks be as I am a good instigator but lousy organizer!)

What a generous invitation!
I vote for new old lefty's place. It is incredibly spacious by repute and, since Eugene is the capital of Invention in Oregon, it seems a natural! Then folks could plan to stay the night with no fear of late night drives after evenings of frivolity.
