This weeks prompt, was to write a story in which a character is missing all or part of a limb, or gets all or part of a limb removed. I went with flash fiction this week. 100 words that's it.
Saturday night live, Johnny Carson, the Apollo... Steve had played them all. Best comedian 1980 - 1984. There was no stopping him, until his Ferrari slammed against an oak tree; which cost him the loss of both arms. Months of recovery, followed by a new routine of jokes and stories, then he was back on the tonight show.
Expectations were high, could he make a come back or not?
Joke after joke failed. No laughs, not even smiles.
Afterward, Steve asked Johnny what was wrong. To which, Johnny replied, "you're not funny. I think it's because you've lost you're humerus."
