Bio
I am now 43 and perfectly OK with that (but I still love it when my friends say I look like I'm 35!). I've been a mom for over nine years now. I live a rather simple yet difficult life of trying to make sure my daughters are polite, well-educated and know they are loved beyond question. I do my best to give my family whatever they need. And I'm trying to take care of myself. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I am infinitely trying to make people happy, make people laugh, make people feel good about themselves. I compliment often, but only with sincerity. I spend way too much time thinking about what might be the "right" thing to do in any given situation. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This is a personal journey for me. I have grown in ways I didn't know were possible. AND AN UPDATE: Don't forget your worth. This speaks to everyone, not just me. xoxoxo ~~~~ And thx, B. My heart was beginning to thaw but your beautiful friendship has melted it. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx FURTHER UPDATE: - B, darling, you have brought me love and peace. You sent the words, "Be gentle with yourself." I am able to do so only because you have been gentle with my heart. I love you, soul mate.

Be part of a LOVE STORY written on OS, literally ~OPEN CALL~

Rate: 23 Flag

 Coffee mug

You like to watch, you say?  Hey, I'm not that kind of girl!

But you can STILL be a part of the Love Story!

You all have, in big and small ways, contributed to this beautiful Love Story that has played out on the screens of my OS page.  I've written postssung songswritten poetry and shouted from the rooftops over him.

When I started blogging here, I chose a name - Outside Myself.  My bio simply listed the words to that song by kd lang, which I will repeat the chorus of, although I know many of you have seen me type these words before.

"I've been outside myself for so long, every feeling that I've had is close to gone."

And that's how it was.  I couldn't feel.  I couldn't cry.  I couldn't love.

Many of you - a great many - encouraged me to take care of myself.  Some of you really extended your hearts and read all of my posts and understood that I was in deep despair.  You continued to provide loving and thoughtful words and I felt them hold me through some dark days.

If you've seen my posts over the past couple of months, you have noticed that my life has changed dramatically.  Someone recently asked me how I could have fallen so deeply in love so quickly with someone so far away.

Well, it really wasn't all that quickly.  And I know for myself that the few times I've been in love, I've known within a month.  This has developed slowly, yet quickly, over the past maybe four months that I've been watching and then talking with this person.

He described our love best the other night (sorry, doll, but I'm stealing your words ~ I know you don't mind) :-)  :  "Delicate yet strong, overwhelming yet subtle." And that speaks of it perfectly.

If you knew him as I do (and some of you DO know him, by the way...),  you would see some of the beautiful communication we share.  Offline, it is, of course, far more exquisite.  There are no secrets - he knows things about me that I have never told anyone else.  He knows my insecurities.  He knows what kind of grapes I like, what the weather is for the day in my town, where I'm volunteering at the moment, how I feel about being an "old soul," and where I buy my lipgloss.

A real-life OS Love Story ~ it is not fiction. And I could never fathom something so beautiful to write it, anyway.

 Candle holder

He, knowing I love swirly things and that my favorite flower is a lily, MADE THIS CANDLE HOLDER FOR ME!!  Can you believe it?!

Candle Holder 2

So my request is this:  I need some new, romantic music.  I found that due to my many loveless years, my "Soft Music" playlist has far too many love songs that are about loss and frustration and anger and loneliness.

I need love songs that are about the GOOD kind of love.  So, please, if you could give me some suggestions to add to my iPod, I'd SO appreciate it.

Give me ONE or TEN songs - matters not!  Just something beautiful and romantic; something that speaks to you.  It can even be instrumental. Help me write the soundtrack to this Love Story.

Thank you, my beautiful OS friends.  You helped give me the courage to take care of myself in a way I never thought I deserved.

And thank you, B - you know how I feel about you, love. ~xoxoxo~

Here is one of my FAVORITES...it makes my heart soar...

FIRST! Oh, does that count? (It's about the only way I can get a "first" in!)

I'll start - as I placed in my post, one of my favorite romantic songs is "One Man's Dream" by Yanni. It is stunningly beautiful.

Thanks for your help, friends!!
Celtic Woman...You Raise Me Up...I am listening to it now and it is wonderful and speaks to the love for my own wife and what she has done for me.
Van Morrisson's "Someone Like You".
I am still waiting to meet the one person that will feel as much for this song and about me as I do about him and the song. Beautiful candle holder!
Torman - I just bought it on iTunes! Gorgeous! Thank you! Again, I'm so pleased you found your soul mate 8 years ago. :-)
you told him you like Yanni and he didn't run?

he's a keeper for sure.
Gordon Lightfoot - "Beautiful" -

You can hear a live version here.

Also, this may be hard to find, but is worth tracking down - Geoff Achison's version of "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" - he's an Australian blues guitarist, and this version brings tears to my eyes.
Cartouche - Again, an iTunes purchase! I love Van Morrison - don't know how I never heard this song. I'll get to know it more intimately over the next couple of days. Thanks for your input and I hope you find someone with your sense of good taste. And yes - the candle holder is remarkable! I can't believe he made it just for me. It took him WEEKS!
I second cartouche's song - Someone Like You by Van Morrison has to be one the most romantic songs ever.
Cindy - Gordon Lightfoot - haven't heard his voice in a long time! ThANKS!

DuaneHeart - You crack me up!! He didn't run, actually. (But he did say he wasn't familiar with Yanni's music. He will be!) ;-)
mamoore - OK, that's two for that one! Still listening to it now...VERY nice! xoxo
Something So Right - Paul Simon

22 Steps - Andy Stochansky

Long Way Home - Tom Waits

There. You happy now?
OM - I could not find my favorite Geoff Achison song, but he has several YouTube videos, including this amazing one:

a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pts4rVUaMqQ">I Just Wanna Make Love to You

His guitar playing is second to none. You will find it hard to believe that all that music is coming from one instrument.
Duane ~ You are SO making me grin! OK, I will check out those songs. (still grinning, you dear friend!)
Cindy - "I Just Wanna Make Love to You - Let's try this again." Are you hitting on me? ;-)

Do you know the name of the Geoff Achison song? I could look for it on iTunes. THANK YOU for putting in so much effort. I'll check out the youtube song you offered...
Duane - I just bought "22 Steps" - marvelous!
Billy Joel - Just The Way You Are

Hope that came out right. My HTML sucks.

If it does I have another one.
You never stop surprising me, doll. "How Sweet It Is" by James Taylor has always been a favorite of mine.

That candle holder looks familiar ;)
Bill - Your HTML doesn't suck at all - congratulations! :-)
Billy Joel - a very lovely and unknowingly appropriate choice. And Boz Scaggs - I love that one and must purchase it this instant.

Thank goodness I just entered a $15 iTunes gift card into my account!

Thanks for the selections. I'm feeling more romantic already!
Smithery - You like the candle holder? It was made by someone who SAID they had "basic smithing skills" - I guess his heart led his hands. I hope that continues...

Thanks for the song suggestion, doll.

By the way, the surprises have only just begun...
Okay...it's an old song, but perfect for long distance or online love affairs..."Born Again With You" by Billy Preston and Sirena.

Glad you are so happy!
So happy for you!
I am not sure what kind of music you like, but try this one on:

"Ain't Nobody" ~Rufus fea. Chaka Khan

:-)
Sheila - How beautiful of you to be here. I am now listening to that song and it is making me misty. "Come bring me your softness..." Lovely. Thank you dearly.
Spotted - I haven't heard that song in AGES! Brings me back to my youth in the 80's. Got it now! Thanks!
One more, though I can't find it on YouTube (well, not a good quality version anyway)

Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Soul Refreshing

If you can find it, give it a listen. Most of his first album ("Unclassified") is simply awesome music. The man is talented on the pedal steel guitar.
Bill - I just found it on iTunes! I love the way it sounds just really happy but relaxing, like you should be driving around with your windows rolled down. Exactly like the title, it sounds "Soul Refreshing." That's pretty cool. THANK YOU!
Steve Forbert -- There's Everybody Else & Then There's You, and (Willie Nelson recorded) I'd Have to Be Crazy

CSN&Y -- Our House

Nice to read a blog & comments so full of lightness. maybe I'll stop listening to Patty Griffin and make an itunes mix of all the song suggestions you're getting on here. Or not. Something about sad songs makes me FEEL -- and sometimes I need to just FEEL something.
Our love song is The Postal Service's Such Great Heights http://www.lyricsdomain.com/20/the_postal_service/such_great_heights.html
Here's some of the ones I've always liked:

"Son of a Preacher Man" - Dusty Springfield

"Everything I Do I Do It for You" - Bryan Adams

"You Are the Sunshine of My Life" - Stevie Wonder

"Julia" - John Lennon (Beatles)

"You've Got a Friend" - Carole King / James Taylor

"Wind Beneath My Wings" - Bette Midler

"More Than a Feeling" - Boston
I put a song up on my blog! xox
My, oh my! You are so sucker deep in love I can feel it!!! I am hoping KOB will help with the music. I am so far out of touch with this "feeling" I've got nothing new to suggest. If something materializes, I'll pass it on. This gramma is so grand baby whooped I am way out of the loop! I am, however, deeply happy for you two. Hang on to this! It's the best high there is! xo
Oh I am going to sound so old here, but Charles Aznavour's "You and Me" is a killer.
Let me think, hmmmm...
Catching up...starting to listen...
skeletnwmn - Wow, I forgot about that song by CSN&Y. Good one! And I'm glad you found this post light and happy, although I agree that sad songs make us feel... I spent waaay too long not feeling.

Gwen - A purchase has just been made. Cool keyboards in the background. Can't wait to listen more closely and "when you're away when I am missing you to death" ~ is just perfect for this relationship. You're awesome.
This sounds, feels and looks like true love. I hope he realizes that he is such a lucky dude; he won the best.

Since cartouche beat me to it with Van Morrison's "Someone Like You," I will have to go with the greatest love song--lyrics and music--of all time: "One More Time" by Laura Pausini, from the soundtrack "Message in a Bottle."

Rated for love.
Robin - Hey! That's one I've been singing! "I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted." Oh yeah, that's this guy, baby! Thanks, Robin!! (I just posted this comment on your post, minus the "o" in post... :) Thanks for playing!
OK, girl, I've got one more for you.

Barry White "The First, My Last, My Everything"

Game, set, match. :-D
Mr e -
Son of a Preacher Man - Way cool!
Everything I Do I Do It for You - Back to my 80's!
You Are the Sunshine of My Life -Minute Maid (rats - ruined it for me!)
Julia - John Lennon - not finding the Beatles version, but lots of others, which I am going to slow down and listen to; there seem to be some lovely options. I'm excited to research this one!!
You've Got a Friend - I know either one of us would come running
Wind Beneath My Wings - Utterly perfect; he is
More Than a Feeling - Been a long time...very nice!

Thank you for so many options!!
Cathy - Is it obvious? :-) In all honesty, this is something beyond what I could ever describe which is why my posts come out so ... inadequate. He is beyond description, no mater how I try.
Together Strong by Susan Gibson
O'Really - ACK! ITunes requires me to buy the whole album for 20 bucks. I'll try to find it somewhere else online, but the album sounds like it's worth it... Thank you for the song. The snippet I could hear was just gorgeous!
Thoth - I actually have that one - it IS stunning. I thought it was Celine Dion the first time I heard it. I think I first caught it on So You Think You Can Dance... And yes - it's the real thing....and we're both so very lucky. Thanks, hun.

I'll be back to listen to more - I have to dash out of the house. RATS! RATS! (Bill, you rock; can't wait to listen. The title is fantastic!)
"Drive all Night" by Bruce Springsteen. Here's a link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyS0i1kXiHg
I'm so glad to hear that you're moving on. And what a great candle holder!

My mind always goes blank at times like this but I like the Beatles' In My Life and that old Muzk fave, Michelle.

There are lots of old standards by Cole Porter and Ira Gershwin that appply. I love Bryan Ferry's versions of Smoke Gets in My Eyes and These Foolish Things; anybody who sings It Had to Be You. There are just so damn many. And yes, Someone Like You is right up there on my list, too.
Bill - Barry White - Yeah, baby. I started smiling the minute I started listening. Niiiice.

rainee - What a pleasant-sounding song. I just bought it on iTunes... Thanks for your input!
Maria - Zowie! That's one sexy song. Dear mother-of-pearl. It's now on the iPod...!

Emma - The candle holder is MAGNIFICENT! The detailed work he put into it is amazing. He sent me a couple of teaser photos but I had NO IDEA it would look like this! Yes, I am moving forward with my heart. There was no stopping it, quite honestly.

It Had to be You is wonderful! There are many versions on iTunes, which I'm going through. (Avoid the James Brown version!) I'm listening through your other suggestions as well - thank you so much for all your support, V.
Julia is a song John Lennon wrote for his mother. Its a love song if there ever was one. I think its on the Beatles White Album.
Another good one is "Buttercup" by the Foundations
@Emma -- Gershwin, how about the title song from "Of Thee I Sing" ?
OK, if someone already said this then forget it... I'm not into all those really sappy love songs. I'm thinking you might be a brown eyed blonde.
Brown eyed girl by Van the Man...

"Making love in the green grass behind the stadium" 'nuff said.
"Let it Be Me"
Betty Everett and Jerry Butler
Beautiful post.. I hope you the best and lots of love. Distance doesn't really matter.
mr. e - Julia will become one of my favorites, I'm sure. Buttercup is SUCH a cute song!

Trig - How did you guess? Huh! Yup - brown eyed girl here! And I love that song; excellent choice. Now I gotta find me a stadium (are you listening, darling???? Get those tour guide thoughts going...!). :-) Thanks, Trig!
femme - Ohhhh, that's a beautiful song! I have not heard that is so very long. Another iTunes purchase. And there's even a live version from Philly - right where I'm headed. How fortuitous. Thank you.

fireeyes - I couldn't agree more. I am closer to him than with anyone I've ever known. We just give that to each other. I don't know how...but we do. Thanks, hun.
Congratulations ! wonderful to read something so positive
"The Blessing" - Delta Rain - about the hunger
"I've got you Babe" Sonny and Cher - about the everyday
If you like Spanish, which I do for romance, I am a couple years older than you but we are in the same age category so I am going to give you some Spanish songs from my era:
Juan Gabriel - "Siempre en me mente"
Lupita D'Alessio - "Como Tu", Lupita sings everything with all her heart so anything by her is amazing.
Luis Miguel - the Album "romances" which you can preview on Amazon (Sabor a Mi especially)
warning about Lupita D'Alessio most of her songs are about the breakup and female independence, she has very few love songs. I had forgotten that but am doing some research now on wiki. I now remember why I loved her so much! she is still an iconic Mexican superstar singer tho, so nix her for this purpose! but the other two (Luis Miguel and Juan Gabriel) are classics singers of romance songs.
Ariana - That is so funny because I was also thinking a while back about Michael McDonald's first album. I remember I loved it...and then I remembered that it is just sooooo blue. Oops. :-) Regardless, I will listen to Lupita just because I love new music.

I appreciate the leads and have found some of the artists on iTunes, but not all of the exact songs. Thanks for sending me so much information and new music to peruse...
I will be back when I find it hopefully tommorrow. I love that you found love!
Ok, this will be my last comment I promise!! but since you said good new music, :)

"ricky martin" tu recuerdo - just watch this on youtube and anything from his MTV unplugged,

and the king himself JUANES! you can start with Adios le pido and Me Enamora (both are love songs) on youtube but absolutely anything

This was fun for me and it was seriously a pleasure to read about you being in love, what a precious thing.
Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" is beautiful.
Lunchlady - Dear friend. I'm glad too, as you can tell. I Do hope you'll come back tomorrow with something. I'd love your ideas.

Ariana - I LOVE that you're into this! It was a sincere call for help, so I'm quite pleased you're thinking about this. I love sharing music, too, so it's nice to see someone else as excited. Hey, the good news about the music in Spanish is that if it's about breaking up...I'll never know! :-) Me Enamora is totally happy-sounding!
Sweetfeet - GREAT song. Ever hear of "Mercy Street" by Peter Gabriel? Whew - now THERE is a sexy-sounding song! Woo-hoo!
Hmmmmmmm.

Let me give this some thought. You're a Yanni fan and I know nothing about Yanni. I know who he is, but not his music. Do you want instrumentals only or lyrical songs? I can put together a list of 100 in five minutes if you tell me what you like. :-)

You can feel free to PM me on it.
Rated and best of luck.
KOB - I would PM you but I'd love the info out here.
I'm looking for lyrical AND/OR instrumental. Anything romantic.

And yes, I like Yanni but I love ALL kinds of music, so the sky's the limit!! Thanks, Music Man.
OM--I'm tickled pink for you. Maybe it's sappy, but I really love "To Make You Feel My Love." It was originally done by Garth Brooks, I think, but I adore the version done by last year's American Idol winner, Kris Allen. It is silky smooth. I also highly recommend "Lucky" by Colby Calais and Jason Mraz. Also anything by Adele. Best of luck.
Here's a few more to add to the great list everyone's contributing to:

When A Man Loves A Woman - Percy Sledge
We're All Alone - Boz Scaggs
Something About The Way You Look Tonight – Elton John

Don't buy 'em E; I have 'em :)
Dayna - Long time no see. Sooo glad you're here! OK, first of all, thank you so very much for the thoughtful response. "To Make You Feel My Love" isn't showing up on iTunes for either artist. Rats. The Jason/Colbie song - I just bought it - it sounds perfect! Thanks! And Adele - you are right on the money here; I have three of her songs: First Love, Hometown Glory and Make You Feel My Love. Thank you again for your ideas. Come back again sooner, 'K? :-)
SMITHERY - Man of the Hour. Love of My Life. Those are all beautiful songs and I will not buy them, B, I will wait to listen to them with you. ~XOXOXOXO~ ~E
"To Make You Feel My Love" is a Bob Dylan song. His voice sounds like he's been gargling with barbed wire, but it is still a beautiful song.
Cindy - I jumped on it! There is nothing in iTunes for BD, but I found several versions (I'm fast) and decided on one by Brandy Moore, whoever that is...but it sounded like a lovely version.

BTW, Geoff Achison - what an artist. You're right, I can't believe that is only him playing. Very cool voice, too. I haven't found "I Can't Help Falling in Love with You" but from the sound of his voice, I can see why it would make you teary. I'm quite sure I would feel the same.

Thanks for coming back, Cindy. Very kind of you.
Oh, and the Geoff Achison song is "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You," the Elvis song, but his guitar playing turns it into something really special. It is on his "Mystery Train" CD, which has one winning track after another.

Here's his MySpace page, if you want to learn more about him.
First of all....congratulations!!

My three suggestions, which are about as different in genre as you can get:
"All I want is you" by U2
"As" by Stevie Wonder
"You're my best friend" by Queen
Cindy - I found the CD on play4me.com which is an Australian site. I'll keep looking; maybe I'll find something on eBay. I've always loved that song and often find myself singing it, so it's very interesting that you suggested it.
Veronica - Hi! Nice to meet you and I appreciate the congratulations. You're right - those are all completely different and I LOVE that. I just listened to snippets of all three on iTunes and I didn't know the U2 song. I forgot about As...and well, you can never go wrong with Queen. Another 80's nod to my school days. Great choices; I'm so glad you were here.

Cindy (again) - Forgot to say thanks for the MySpace page for Achison. There is music to purchase there, but I didn't see ICHFILWY.
First of all, this is a really cool Open Call. Second of all:

"I've been outside myself for so long, every feeling that I've had is close to gone."

And that's how it was. I couldn't feel. I couldn't cry. I couldn't love."

That's where I was when I first joined OS, but I experienced a major, positive transformation after I began participating in what goes on here. To say that I'm a different person than I was isn't an exaggeration, and I've seen other people (and now am seeing you) go through similar changes. I love this place, and I love the people here.
Nana - Well, now, my goodness, you're going to make me cry! First of all, I'm sorry you lived through anything like I did, but second of all, I am so pleased you're on the other side of it. I owe so much to OS.

I'm looking forward to being better friends with you... Oh, and regarding your response to my comment on your post...not needy at all. Come collect a hug any time you need one. :-)
More in love today than yesterday...
I found one today that will just kill you with emotion -

I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You - Colin Hay
An oldie but a goodie - always makes me cry: "Torch Song" by Todd Rundgren.
Oh WOW and YAY! Good for you two.
Love songs?
"Dream A Little Dream" by Cass Elliot is one of my favorites. I will sing it at my wedding should such a thing ever happen. Maybe I'll sing it for someone else's wedding. I can sing it.

"Heavenly Day" by Patti Griffin is exquisite. Wish I could link here. I might have to make that a blog. I sing along at the top of my lungs to this song, but would never dare to do so in public.

There are many more. Peter Gabriel "In Your Eyes" always stands for true love. Someone else listed it.

And, of course, The Beach Boys. "God Only Knows" was a major song for a major relationship of mine.
Hey, keep us updated on the playlist! It would be great to have as a compilation.
Revel in your love and joy. You deserve it.
Hey! Look at all y'all coming to visit. (Duane, you old softy!)

I'm volunteering at my daughters' school right now and will check out the songs in just a bit.

Thanks, everyone!!
Ok so first In Your Eyes and Our House were my and my first husbands song and when I hear them I remember the good times.

This is one for you by Little Big Town if this freakin works.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCZel71Ip_s
If it doesn't work look up Bring It On Home Please I tried I really tried!
And Collin Raye On The Verge
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7xFQFJ0Wgo
I like "You Get Me" by Michelle Branch. And an all-time favorite of mine is "Open Arms" by Journey.

How's that for mixing the old (for me) with the new? ;)
"Moondance" has beautiful lyrics...
Duane - "I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You - Colin Hay" - I bought this yesterday on my iPhone while waiting in line at Starbuck's! Great choice. Thanks at ton!
dcvdickens - don't make me cry, too!! ;)
aim - "Dream a Little Dream" - couldn't find the version by Cass on iTunes, but found a really cool one with Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald!

"Heavenly Day" - just bought it - thanks for pointing me to it!

"God Only Knows" I have from the "Love Actually" soundtrack. (I love that movie - it's so cute!)

Now, as far as singing...! I've been singing since I was 5 years old because I LOVE it. I've sung at weddings (and pretty much everywhere) and you had better sing at the top of your lungs anywhere you want! I do it all the time. I'm pretty sure the mailman thinks I'm nuts...

Thanks for all of the suggestions and YES! I will post the compilation once I have it narrowed down. I hope others will find some they didn't know or had forgotten about.

And thanks for the good wishes. :-)
"Punk Rock Girl" Dead Milkmen
Lunchlady - Wow. Wow. Yeah, it worked. And I LOVE this song! The words are EXACTLY what he would say to me. I just bought it on iTunes!!! And the video you sent not only worked...it's beautiful! Oh, I love this song! Thank you!

"One the Verge" - "When did neon light turn into moonglow?" LL - you have no idea how appropriate these words are. Kinda like you were listening in... Another purchase.

Thank you so much for these thoughtful choices!
Hey, Ash! Just bought "You Get Me" on iTunes! I am on a tear - woo-hoo!!

How very interesting...would you believe I bought "Open Arms" yesterday?? It's old (like me) - but I still think you're younger. :)

ghostwriter - "Punk Rock Girl" had me smiling the minute I started listening...I'll have to think about it a bit more and see if I can picture a romantic smooch with that in the background...maybe I just need a new wardrobe/attitude? I'm so glad you chimed in! :-)
you're welcome! I gotta million of em.
"Moondance" does indeed have beautiful lyrics...how appropriate.
OM- Call me johnny come lately, but I like brown eyed girl by Van Morrison. I got mine, a brown eyed girl, that is. Actually, I got two of them (god bless genetics). The classics never go out of style :) I wish you well.
ghost writer - you must have a looooottta CDs!
Smithery ~ I can say that I've never paid much attention to the lyrics before.

I can also say...you now have my attention!
Wanderer! - Never too late, never, never, my friend. I'm just glad you're here. I love "Brown-eyed Girl" and am one of those! That song is on the iPod. You are a sensitive guy, so I KNOW you have more you're not thinking of at the moment...give me another one...I know it's in there somewhere.
:-)
I'm enjoying Songs of Insects. There is a book that comes with a DVD. Turn the tape up as loud as you want. You will arouse innumerable insects. I do this for fun and watch katydids.

I love this gift. a DVD of Music from the 18th century. Encore. It cam from the Williamburg, Virg., tourist book store. www.history.org.

Art - I love your suggestions for music. Well, ummm, perhaps not the insects. I don't really dig bugs (no pun intended) and I'm quite sure a neighborhood of bugs in a state of arousal would really "squash" the mood for me (yeah, sorry, pun intended...).

BOBBY!!! Hey, old buddy! SO glad you're back to check on B & E!

"Someone to Watch Over Me" - ohhh, he is indeed that. Great suggestion. And - "Someday We'll be Together" - uh-huh...

Stay tuned, Bobby and stay in touch, please, please!! PM me and let me know if the good news continues...
The candlestick says it all --- fanciful, beautiful, creative...perfect for you.

From the Music Man...back when I was 16 and in love with my current love for the first time (oh, if only I had not been ruled by fear for so many years)...I sang, over and over and over, "My white knight, not a Lancelot nor an angel with wings, just someone to love me who is not afraid of a few nice things....let me walk with him as the others ride by...walk and love him, 'til I die" He still doesn't believe I loved him then but we both believe it now.

Your joy is so clear and wonderful --- you can hear and feel the whole world rooting for you both.
Oooh! I get shivers from your post, the candelstick, and the suggested music!
Better late than never, here's mine; Written by Leonard Cohen, sung by Madeleine Peyroux: "Dance Me to the End of Love"

Nowledge - You snuck in here! I love it when you visit. Thank you for the song suggestion - I will find it and add it to the list...as a singer yourself, I KNOW it must be lovely! And thanks for this: "you can hear and feel the whole world rooting for you both." That was very sweet and very humbling. Now I just wish the whole world could feel it for themselves, too. Wouldn't that be magnificent? Much love to you, dear friend.
OK you called me out. I answer, "Never Tear Us Apart," INXS.
Wanderer & Bob - Sorry I missed you kids until now. INXS - NICE!
