I don't have anything cute or funny to say about this picture. This is Mama and her mother, Ladye. My best guess would place it in Birmingham, Alabama, around 1938. The world had been in a depression for nearly a decade and was about to go to war. Luther had a jewelry and watch store. He had contracts with multiple railroad companies. Engineers were required to bring their watches to him regularly for certification. Mama's family was doing fine.
