This is the earliest photo I have found of Mama with her mother.

 On the same day, she posed with her father.

Here she is with both of her parents.

 Apparently, when the above photos were taken (probably in autumn 1935), she wasn't yet paid off.  That didn't happen until the next April. She cost $5.

April 1936 is probably about the time this photo was taken.

I've been doing a lot of genealogy research lately so I love seeing this family remembrance in photos. Somewhere there is a photo of my grandfather holding my grandmother on his lap when they were little.
Wonderfully evocative pictures. It truly is amazing what we can see in old photographs. Funny about the receipt. When I think of the receipt I got for the last time I was in the hospital! Yow! It only costs a little more than that to get a latte now.
Katina and Susanne, I have hundreds of old family photographs and I could stare at them all day. But I truly love the ephemera like the clipping and the receipt because they give so much context and perspective.
I love the rosy-golden hue time has brought to the photographs. These are hallowed moments...
