Bio
I'm sure details will emerge as I write, but how does one encapsulate one's life in words? I consider myself a Michigan native, now misplaced in the southern MidWest. Friends and family have called me a story teller, which is possible. To anyone who reads my work, though, I offer this caution from Isabel Allende, as she describes herself: “If you ask me to tell you my life, I will try; but it will probably be a bag of lies, because I am inventing myself all the time. And at the same time, I am inventing fiction, and through this fiction, I am revealing myself.”

Dear Dakini Dancer (for that is how I know you),

I write to you, at your passing, because I believe that you, now free, are reading each of these memorials, and feeling all of our love.  We are simply returning the favor, you know?  The sorrow we feel is a testament to that.

I've been on OS for such a short time, yet have seen the seeds you've sown, and the blooms of those seeds.  I have basked in your commentary, been informed by your writing, and inspired by your fearless love and support of living things - of life itself.

I was stunned at losing you, so soon - and I was stunned that I felt such deep, visceral grief for someone I've never met, with whom I've never spoken.  Then I realized that it didn't matter.  You left a little of yourself with us in every comment, every post - you lit a candle everywhere you went.  And you inhabited your words.

You of all people would understand that our spirits transcend time, space, and virtuality.  So, we're not crazy - we just miss you already.  And I just realized that part of the reason I wrote this was not just for you - it was to write myself a note, to always remember what you've given us here:

Love and Light.

Namaste.

With Humble Gratitude,

Owl
