Notte Sento

Rate: 1 Flag

I post this video for two reasons.  The first is as a follow up to my post yesterday  featuring animated love & war in France.  Two posts; two videos; two romances; two songs; two shades of love.  Huzzah!  This post's film is called Notte Sento and it is direct by Daniele Napolitano who used more than 4,500 still photographs shot with a Canon EOS 30D and then stitched together as a stop motion, whatever that means.

The second & real reason I post this video is because I need to post something on my blog for reasons I will discuss in the opening sentence or two of my next post.

UPDATE: Make that two posts from now.

Damn! Looks interesting but, it stopped after a minute or two at the point where she is crossing the street and the bike approached.
Now this is really stop motion -- it just stopped. Actually, stop motion is a kind of animation in which a series of photos is taken of incremental movements and then pieced together to resemble video. Claymation was one of the early practioners of this tedious art form. It was also used by Tim Burton and others.
Couldn't get it to play. I'll try later...
