Yesterday was the first time in my life I felt proud to be an American. So, I made Jell-O.

FABULOUS! How did it taste? Not to brag or anything, but I once made a life-sized replica of "The Last Supper" in Jello. I was brought up in the Lutheran church, where Jello is one of the five basic food groups (along with Cool Whip, canned pineapple, Cream of Mushroom soup and canned onion rings). Sometimes it's fun to substitute vodka for the water.
Hilarious! With a little Obama. I can't get over this.
It was a vision that came to me as I was watching the inauguration and crying all morning because I'd never felt so happy. Just to see Obama addressing the world...sigh. So, red white and blue jell-o seemed to capture that for me. I was not brought up with jell-o so I didn't know what I was doing. But hey, it was the most popular dish at the Obama party I went to! People even ate it!
The last supper though, that KILLS ME!
This is unbelievably cool.
OK, red and the blue, yes, but how to make white jello???

Then I looked closer — marshmallows. Brilliant!

A thumb for you.
You are infinitely awesome, and I'm jealous of your jello flag!!
Oh Palindrome! You have Mexican decor too! I have a few (three) of those little clay Senoritas and Senoras ....I want more.

I also collect cacti and succulents!

Have you ever shopped at Lopez's?
It is a fantastic treasure trove of all things Mexican...or most things..and if you have forgotten to bring home a certain something from your last jaunt down to Rosarita (or Iztapa ! ahhhhhh!) well, Lopez will have it! Even furniture!
It's on the way to Jamestown and Sonora on 120 from 99 East...you can't miss it! Also do stop and visit Poots Cactus farm and gardens.. closed Sundays however...best time is late April, early May....will take your breath away...
Sorry, I must tell you that blue jello both looks and sounds yukky...
but I love all things Obama so congratulations on your creativity!
Congrats! Also, thanks for making me feel like I'm not the only one who's never made jello. Maybe I should whip up a batch sometime.
that is amazing!!! Great job on jello.. How did it taste?
