OK, so what secrets are you willing to reveal about yourself? Everyone has something to hide, right? Did you try to murder your uncle? Are you considering marrying a 13-year-old because you got God’s blessing to do so? Have you fathered 42 children without your wife knowing? Most likely your secrets are little more pedestrian than these (inspired by my Big Love posts). But then again, I might be assuming too much.

Secrets are an appealing part of the human psyche. I've said this before, right? You've read this before, right?

Well, I've decided to do something BIGGER this time. So fascinated am I by the idea, I've decided to try to write a book about secrets. What?! Yes. And I am going to post a call for writers who want to submit pieces of writing about their secrets and probably conduct some interviews.

I'm writing the proposal right now. So, this is the official beginning of the project.

Since there are so many wonderful writers here on OS, I thought I should begin here. Last time I posed these questions I got some interesting responses. And a few people didn't want to be revealed, of course, so they said they wouldn't tell me here. This makes complete sense, so I've made it easier.

So, I am going to have an e-mail account for posting. And you can post from your own private e-mail account if you'd like.

What I'd love to receive are longer stories about secrets, why you can't tell anyone THIS, or how a secret or the exposure of a secret has affected/changed your life. I will demand and support complete ANONYMITY, unless you tell me otherwise.
