Again, because so many of you cared enough to encourage me, just thought I'd let you know I've formally applied to the University of Missouri's graduate school.

I won't find anything out until early October (the actual application deadline is Sept. 1, so I'm a good couple of months ahead of the game).  I've done everything I can reasonably do to this point, so now the decision is up to the folks there.

If anybody knows anybody at the Mizzou journalism school, feel free to put in several thousand good words for me.  An online petition would be nice, but I'm not pushing it.  Much.  I briefly considered, then rejected, putting in one of the application essays that if they don't accept me I'll hold my breath until I turn blue. I figured that was a bit over the top.
