Remembering Skip Two Years Later

Rate: 9 Flag

It's four days  past July 4th the celebration of our nation's birthday. It is also the second anniversary of my brother, Skip's death. Much has happend in these two years including Skip missing out on the grandchild he deeply wanted to see and touch. On this day , I thought I'd like to dust off an older and among the first pieces I wrote on Open Salon, about my brother, Skip.

We miss him terribly.  Rest well, brother,

Patie

Still miss him more than words can say.
I went there and read your post. What a moving tribute to a loving brother. I have known many Skips in my life....hell I could BE Skip. I am glad that his memory still lives on and I know the world is a better place for him having been here.

Rated....highly and with love...for Skip.
I am so sorry.... so very sorry.
I commented there, and will here again. This was a great tribute to your brother!

Peace and no more killing
Read your post, Patie, and it was beautiful.
Torman---you could have been Skip...might have been even.
MaWB--don't be sorrowful...tho we were apart during our lives we were together the last 4th of his and what a blessing. I just live in a way too isolated place so days like this one really gets to me.
Scanner, Bobbit and Pilgrim---always glad to have you drop by.
My heart and thoughts are with you Patie.

I second Torman...Rated this with heartfelt affection!
Thanks for reposting this. A beautiful tribute.
Thanks for dropping by, Nini and Chicago Guy..always nice to have company.
I can imagine your loss and sadness....and void. He sounds like he was a wonderful brother to you. He sounds like he was just a damn good human being....
Thanks, Patricia...he was and he cared deeply about his world and the folks in his world.
