I've always admired really elegant cursing and discourse. I think it takes a certain amount of imagination to get past the use of simple and inane fourletter words. I mean after 'fuck' what have you really said? However call me a degenerate sow, then the heat is on!
Fascinating article, Patie. I guess we humans like to roll in the mud. I do not get much comfort out of it all, however.
No there is not much comfort except that, for me, it helps me keep my expectations in check avoiding the spread of cynicism which seems to affect political scientists like an ebola virus. I've always been a glass half full kind of gal and I keep hoping because the alternative is the cynicism about our government that can be so debilitating. Jeez, I'm going to miss Senator Byrd! He could talk up a blue moon during a filibuster. RIP.
An interesting article. Thanks.
Fiery rhetoric from both sides. Then we vote. Somehow a middle way is forged. There are even times when we all rise above it and act as one. However, in lieu of all for one and one for all, it is a glorious system, may it forever live. Good find.
Well rats. The link won't load on this computer. I am at lunch at work - I will try at home.
