The Glowing Moon (poetry)

Rate: 7 Flag

distance

makes it hard to know

what's going on

fear makes it hard

to admit the truth

the wind was moaning

all night long last night

in the cold and dark

how can we break through

into the warm and light?

I walked outside at dawn

and the wind was battering

the world

yet when I looked up

there was the moon

the glowing moon

truth is hard to come by

when you're struggling

to survive

yet I know

there is always hope

it goes with life

another day

another chance

to create

and reach out

in this America

afflicted

with far too many

cold hearts

friggin awesome!!!
Cold hearts and a lack of souls, everyone's selfish and out to "rule the world"... we've forgotten what it means to live. Beautiful poem. R
This is a beautiful poem, and "there is always hope, it goes with life." The wind was wild all last night here, too...It's still pretty windy tonight, but I'm thinking just a little more than a month till spring.
