What happens when we "loosen up"

Rate: 3 Flag

Loosen up:

Is related to the idea that “it is what it is,” but takes things a step further.  Accepting reality is one thing; allowing yourself to relax into the reality you are embedded in is another. I deliberately said “embedded in” rather than “faced with” because we are not, in fact, outside of reality, looking in.

When I feel myself relaxing into the present moment, and letting things evolve as they will, while not exerting control over the outcome, then I feel that creativity is operating. I find that these moments of pure acceptance and immersion are not something I can plan for or make happen. They tend to sneak up on me. But when I let go in this way, I experience a kind of peacefulness, even joy.

When is the last time you had this experience? Maybe you are in the experience now.

Patrick, thanks for evoking a lovely place to be. I'm not there now because I have to do homework, but as soon as I start writing the html code I will sink into it.
I find sometimes if you let too much in it can be quite scary but yes it does bring out the creative side like you set a piece of you free...
