Bio
I attend the University of Georgia studying Comparative Literature. I've 30 hours before graduation. I need to pursue creativity, poetry, photography and film making : my dreams. Aspiring writer ( poet, screenwriter, novelist, memoirist) with occasional free-spirit romantic-idealistic-bohemian tendencies, drawing inspiration from the 1800s onward. Laid back, and open to opportunities life has in store for me. In essence, I am a Modern Romantic. US citizen, born in Germany, raised in California and Georgia, and claim Paris as ‘home’ (though I rarely get to visit).

Religion. Science. Sex. Money.

There are many things I don’t understand in this world. Religion. Science. Sex. Money. Still, I participate in every single one of them. Religion – I hedge my bets. Plus it helps to have something besides myself to believe in. But just in case, I spread my risk and believe equally

Mea Culpa

“To be a critic is to trade transcendence in for self-awareness and proficiency—which is not to say that geniuses don’t know what they’re doing…genius involves a sort of free-fall, brave, bold and fluent, that most of us aren’t capable of.”

The Art of Procrastination

While I should be writing 3+ pages on Kafka’s The Trial, another 3+ on Woolf’s The Waves, and a brief 1.5-2.5 page essay on Kermode’s Interpretation of Narrative (all due tomorrow), instead I’m stuck in a time loop. The In-tuh-net has sucked me into it. (Suspend the fact that/

Nice Work If You Can Get It

By now everyone my age knows of or has heard of the quarter-life crisis, thanks to John Mayer’s “Why Georgia.” My own quarter-life crisis began a scant 6 years ago while walking around the mall at Christmas time suddenly stricken with panic at the crassness of commercialized holiday

Say It Loud : Gay Exorcism Pt. I

Amy, Beggs and I happened to be sitting watching CNN (before coverage of the tragic Prince of Pop’s death) when this delightful interview appeared

To be fair, I gave the church the benefit of the doubt. In fact, when they mentioned Connecticut, I didn’t even think black people liv

Stonewall Reading, June 27

I’m feeling particularly lazy but I’ve been meaning to post this for several days now. So I took the easy way out. Though, in my defense, I may or may not be hungry, tired, and slightly nauseous. No, I’m not pregnant. I took the piss test, and it came back inconclusive.

ATLANTA – Georgians soon may have a choice of trains – super-fast ones in some cases – they can ride between cities on the East Coast just as they do airline flights now.

Though the revival of passenger rail service has been talked of and dreamed of for decades, the

Papa was a rolling stone…

Active father figures have a key role to play in reducing behaviour problems in boys and psychological problems in young women, according to a review published in the February issue of Acta Paediatrica.

Children who lived with both a mother and father figure also had less behavioural problems than th

Dear Christian Louboutin,

I’ve been secretly admiring your shoes with soles the color of rubies. I was first introduced to you à grâce à Sa Altesse Royale, Marie Antoinette.
