Tunes To Fight The War On Drugs By

Rate: 12 Flag
paraphernalia

By this headline, of course, I mean fighting for Drugs, not against.

On November 18, 1988 President Ronald Reagan signed the War on Drugs Bill providing the death penalty for murderous drug traffickers and Liberal Democrats who'd had more than a joint back in high school.

The latest trends — like of legalization for medical purposes, or like what's going down in Oakland, and/or like the Fed's policy of non-enforcement — all that shit gives us hope.  Enuff hope, I hope to make some noise.  Maybe with some of my fave dope tunes, which I have divided into categories for those of you too ripped to remember what music goes with what drug.

I like Eminem's song from South Park, and some of the other moldie oldies, but where are your Country Songs? How about Toby Keith "I'll Never Smoke Weed With Willie Again"?
I always loved the name The Doobie Brothers. Has a certain ring to it!
Good List!

I like the Doobies, but don't know a druggie song they did. With a name like that, you'd've thought at least one.
Hey, you forgot the New Riders other great drug song, Henry. Thats pretty countrified. How about Uneasy Rider by the Charlie Daniels Band?
Bobbot, I'd never heard of "Uneasy Rider" so I googled it. Funny song.
Dude, I'm way too stoned to understand what this post is all about. But the typeface is cool.

Every junky's like a setting sun.....
Three more, off the top of my head:

"Rikki Don't Lose That Number" and "Chase the Dragon" (and a zillion others) by Steely Dan

Hash Pipe by Weezer.
john blu — if you noticed the type, you probably decoded the secret message between the letters that says ... OMG, I almost wrote it out.

MiddleAgedWomanBlogging — hadn't before, did now.

Frank — those tunes all go well with Indiana homegrown from the old hemp fields.
There's that little song by Mr. Clapton.

I'm kinda on the otherside of this one though, so I'd probably go with Whitey on the Moon by Gil Scott-Herron and God Damn the Pusher Man by Steppenwolf.
I enhanced my consciousness to many of these tunes. ~R~
