Secret Poetry

Rate: 9 Flag

Hiding

This morning

As you

Lay beside me

Looking up

At the ceiling

Muscles contracting

And releasing

Pretending

Not to see

Me there

Next to you

And I

Acting oblivious

To the curve

Of your shoulder

The glow

Of your skin

Breathed slowly

In and out

Caught off-guard

By an ache

Swelling in my heart

I leaned forward

Burying my face

In my knees

Hiding tears

Grabbing hold

Of myself

So tightly

Resisting

The gravity

Pulling me

Towards your lips

Then we stood

And moved on

As if nothing

Had transpired

Raw and beautifully captured.
Good to see you here, Pavanne. Happy holidays.

Thanks Fusun! Happy Holidays! :-)
Great read. I recall a moment like that.

She was laying there snoring Zzz's loud.

I look to see her drooling on the pillow.

teasing
I snooze
all alone
Art - I was at the gym doing yoga on the floor ;-)
Huh. Where is this Netherlands Yoga Shop?

I took the train via fjords past the Arctic Circle.

The train jugged up and down hills and river creeks.

I loved that beautiful country. You ever visit Oslo?

I bet a dime that you attend the Symphony Opera.

It's great to know you were not slobbering. Oho.

I was traveling alone but sat next to your Mother?

She was beautiful and complained about my Snores.

I was too shy. WE went to Bouda (sp) and had Shrimp.

This is true. We traveled and saw the Midnight Son.

We shopped at a Farmer's Market and staid up too.

We sat at a campfire in the month of June. Honest.

WE never kissed. She saw a black beat and Scrammed!

We talked. Her brother went to Harvard Law School.

Jeannette A. I wonder? She lived in a guarded Apartment.

She lived directly across from Central Park. Not your Mom.

She was traveling alone. She drooled on a train. I snored.

I dream She comes to visit me in just a white bathrobe too.

I think I will join the YMCA and learn to cease and desist?

I'll learn to breath, snore, and find a woman who do Yoga.
This is so deeply revealing and moving. Felt the tug within the well placed words.
mmm. I hate those moments, they tear my heart in two. Vivid, your words, I saw this scene.
Enjoyed this P.
Reading this, I remembered your style: beautiful! Happy Holidays, Pavanne. R
Really excellent, Pavanne.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments! sorry I can't hang around - catching a plane in a few hours and still not packed. Happy Holidays! xp
So happy that I did not choose to "pass over" this assembly of words

hello,

lovely, and the words arranged like a yoga stretch... !
Inverted Interrobang: Thanks! (I'm afraid most of my poems look stretchy - not sure why - they just come out that way. Perhaps it IS the yoga!) :-)
