FAILING at Breastfeeding

I know, it's only been 5 weeks, but I'm about 90% done with the whole thing. My goal was to do it for a year, but I can't even produce an ounce. The 2nd day after I came home with them from the hospital it came in. I could pump 2… Read full post »

When I first started working I had HMO. Covers everything and the only hassle was getting procedures approved every single time. But you get used to it.

Better than icecream...

Today we had an ultrasound. Super exciting stuff. So I thought I'd share some pictures.

The u/s technician asked if it was okay to let a nurse intern come in for the exam, which was fine by me... and yay for perks, because I was so used to the black and… Read full post »

Netanyahu's Speech at the U.N.

"It’s a pleasure to see the General Assembly presided by the Ambassador from Israel, and it’s good to see all of you, distinguished delegates.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Three thousand years ago, King David reigned over the Jewish state in our eternal capital, Jerusalem. I say that to a… Read full post »

Lately, I've seen numerous articles complaining about mitt, making jokes about mitt, pointing out problems with mitt... I'm curious if the same people bitching about Mitt, can objectively step back and analyze Obama with the same scrutiny. No one is perfect, I'm wondering what crap can be brought up… Read full post »

10 Oil paintings: 1 left.

I began two years ago as an apprentice to a master painter. I've always sketched or doodled on any surface I could find during whatever free time could be found. My grandmother kept a folder of my horse drawings through the years and while I have no idea where it went,… Read full post »

I've come to the realization that I'm getting big and I can't walk very far. I think the most I can walk right now is about 1/2 mile. Considering that Ikea is about 4 floors of things to look at that are not on my list of things to buy,… Read full post »

I would love to do a happy positive post but I can't.

Today was one of those days that I wouldn't wish on anyone else.
Maybe it will sound stupid but it's stressing me out to the point that I am seriously considering finding a new… Read full post »

Maybe I'm exaggerating because I'm pretty sure I've had worse days than today. But, I have this thing called "expectation," where I expect people to be professional and do their jobs. This is why I am disappointed.

I teach a non-core subject which I won't discuss here. The course… Read full post »

"I need to get cat litter at the store, is there anything you want?" he asked me.

"Yeah, pick up some icecream!"

"What kind?"

"Um........   cookie dough, whatever... pick up a few flavors, ... OH, and cones! The white ones with the flat bottoms." I… Read full post »

6 weeks of stuff

I've not been around in a while but hey what can I say? Life has this funny way of taking us away from recreation and forcing us to get with the program!

 I've been pretty busy.

1. Ended the school year. That was interesting. No comment on the possibility of teacher… Read full post »

I don't call my dad on father's day.

When I was little my mother would call my dad and put me on the phone. What little connection there was, was either by a birthday gift or by a phone call.

They were married young basically because she was pregnant. It's always a good reason to… Read full post »

MBALI "Flower" (Sketch)

I was bored.

It was between classes, freezing cold because the day before it was in the 80s and they turned the A/C on and didn't shut it off.

I was noshing on lunch, listening to Adele, and thought that since it had been about a month since I've sketched that… Read full post »

In the second floor of my friend Misha's home he built a gallery, which took 10 years. He built it himself, saved his money and all to showcase the paintings of his father (a friend and neighbor of Chagall). In 1989 when Russia was forced to allow Jews to… Read full post »
