Nice... Some day soon I'll post what little remains of my art... just got to dig it out of storage and figure out how I'm going to fit it into my blog.
Well, you begin by opening the storage door. You then dig through dust. You scan it. You upload it and just put pics all the way down the screen. Then, you send me a link.
Well I don't have a scanner so I guess I'll just have to shoot some pics with my little Kodak digital... Why oh why must I forever get hooked up with smart ass women?
The colors of the sunset behind the Buffalo are symbolic of it slide into oblivion. I wish I could have seen the giant herds. My mom tells me about them when we lived in Wyoming and I was just one year old.
It cooks in waaay less time and has only 9% of the fat of beef - yup less than chicken or fish!!
Fortunately there are some really great herds of bison in North America now. Nothing like there once was, of course, but enough to support quite a thriving business in buffalo meat. It tastes so much like beef that most people won't notice the difference. A tad richer in flavour but not really much. The tiny bit of extra richness will allow you to cut down on the amount of salt you use so its a lot healthier too.
Oh yes, dear Peeling, your painting is just lovely!
(*Why that buffalo looks good enough to.........!*)
thanks maureen and tg. Yeah, I vary on brands.. whatever is on sale, but if it's generic I won't buy it. The pigment just isn't as concentrated. I like Van Gogh, Rembrandt... um.. a couple other brands. But dick blick brand, I was told even by their employee that it's a thinner paint.
