Its struggle is to reclaim the public sphere centers in an attempt to make media and publicity a source of reasoned consensus, as opposed to a platform for manipulating popular opinion. Our telecast of PYR8FREETV is an important distinction between public opinion as a critical authority which balances political and social power, and public opinion as something that publicity firms can manipulate in order to support private gratuitous interest, lobbyists, institutions, products or programs. "Opinion management with its 'promotion' and 'exploitation' goes beyond advertising and media; it invades the process of 'public opinion' by systematically creating news events or exploiting events that attract attention".
