It is reflex of our earthly frame,
That takes its meaning from the nobler part,
And but translates the language of the heart
-Samuel Taylor Coleridge
An unfettered heart
unconditionally free-
wields virtue sublime
---
Desire's illusion
obscuring reality-
truth comes from within
---
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corithians 13:4-7
---
To you, I express my devotion,
my thoughtfulness and encouragement.
I dedicate myself to your prosperity.
To you, I pledge my unyeilding fidelity.
This vow to you I promise,
for love is more that lust
and more steadfast than desire.
I ask naught in return,
for love needs not an answer.
True love's unconditional nature
will out over all.
I will be yours forever.

chuck - thanks
skel - I wrote the 2 haikus in the middle and the verse at the end is my creation of vow based on a Buddhist class and some reading I was doing so I guess yes it is a wedding vow. 1 Corithians 13 is my favorite bible passage.
OM - I am lucky to have her.
