Adam Lambert with Queen

Rate: 7 Flag

I found out today that Adam Lambert is touring with Queen and they did a concert in Kiev, and, it's available in YouTube. Seriously, what did we ever do without YouTube?

So, here is the whole concert, beginning with a 15 minute interview in Russian. Kinda fun to listen to even without understanding a word of it. Also pretty obvious that it went on 10 minutes longer than planned. Bands just never start on time, do they.

And here is the page that popped up on the search so you can listen to individual songs instead of the whole thing.

Adam Lambert and Queen

I plan to watch this when I have two hours. It looks really good. Great scenery. Lambert does a decent job as the lead singer here.

I had to look him up- he's so tall! Only 6'1" when he looked about 6'4" on Graham Norton,  but still tall enough. And he was born in Indianapolis. I'm starting to think the reason I can't sing is because I was born in Ohio.

Ok. I clicked on the vid. I was planning to hate it. REALLY hate it, because NOBODY but NOBODY can replace Freddy.

Surprise. I was mesmerized. TKO. AL puts his own soulful style into this tune. Adam's got gospel in his voice and Freddy was all about opera and somehow it's different but it doesn't jar the spirit.

I'm loving Brian May as a Silver Fox. Wow!!!!

FOTI is on his I-pad looking for concert dates as I type.
I'll check this out. I didn't even know the band was still around. It's hard to picture anyone but Freddie Mercury singing lead though. R
V., I feel that way about Journey replacing Steve Perry! But I'm not as generous as you and don't watch the new guy. Adam Lambert, though, just put out a new cd which is really good, and Freddie Mercury can't come back, so... Did you find a concert? Live blog!!!

Gerald, it's a bit different but it is a live show and he does a really good job. Hope you enjoy!
Need to show my husband this, he loves Queen. No, nobody can ever replace Freddy but we both really enjoyed Adam Lambert on Idol ( he should've won that year) and Queen seems like a good match for his range.
A.S.S., I hope your husband likes it! Interesting initials, too...
I wouldn't have clicked if Tink had posted, but seeing as it was you...
Freddy Mercury he's not, but not bad~
I like that Queen continues on, even without beloved Freddie. They have also had Paul Rodgers (of Bad Company) front them. When Adam Lambert was on American Idol, Queen appeared with him to do Bohemian Rhapsody and at that time they offered him the position of lead singer. He wanted to give his solo career a try then. I'm glad he landed with them. Thanks for posting this! Yes, I even called in and voted for Adam when he was on AI.
You have a fetish, i think, for tall men, young lady...
this is not the first time you have mentioned tallness.
dont think i do not notice such things.
as for queen, i dunno. even
after what is it, 30?40? yrs,
my verdict is still out.
Adam Lambert has an amazing voice -- that he's been appointed to sing with Queen is no surprise. Not many could step into Freddy's shoes without complete ridicule, but Adam Lambert might pull it off...
V., gosh, feeling special!

scanner, yeah, not bad. I wonder if they'll make any new music.

lschmoopie, I didn't watch American Idol. Bad singing makes me cringe and the voting is worse. But, they do end up with some good singers coming out of it.

James, yes, at 5'8" I prefer some height in the men. They make me feel feminine.

JT, my fingers are crossed.
I plan on finding some time to sit and listen...I had no idea they were touring or even still active!
LL, It's neat, isn't it.
oh a tall gal,hm? i am 5 nine. arg. wanted so bad to get to
six foot like my big brother, couldnt.
many years in front of the mirror
marking my height.

i hate tall me. i scrunch down, get them to sit. ha.
then i bore them with my bored lively blue eyes. then!
my masculinity is mastered, see/
?
cuz i now got a big tall friend.

i get u.

for me it is to feel more masculine.
