Something real for Sunday- GNS and Daisy Jane
So, I am no longer feeling oppressed. Why? I have decided to drop my class. I am having a serious mental problem with Intro to Corporate Finance, so I have decided to drop it, again, and take my time to learn it for the fall semester. Then I will pay the… Read full post »
An Imaginary Conversation About Sex
I have been thinking about trying the dating site Plentyoffish.com, now known as POF. In that vein, my brain took off imagining the possibilities of things that could go wrong, which is where I always head, and came up with this conversation. Yes, a view into my musings.… Read full post »

Driving in slush- the saga
Wednesday afternnon, we had a weather event. Big, fat snowflakes that soon combined with freezing rain to create an inch or so of slush on the roads at the approximate time that I was getting off of work and the local high schools were releasing the kids. As I was driving,… Read full post »
Crabby and no tolerance for stupid
I am just so out of sorts. So here's a song. Enjoy. Hopefully I'll feel social soon.
Animatronic robot? Found a gratuitously funny video instead.
I just heard Joan Walsh on The Ed Show calling Mitt Romney an animatronic robot trying to do his own laundry.
That was my opening sentence. I was going to rant about name calling, then I went to YouTube to find a funny cat on roomba video. Instead, I found… Read full post »
A beautiful day

Woke up to a glorious winter day. Bright sunshine, 18 wonderful degrees Farenheit, not a cloud to be seen. I even, gasp, went outside to shovel because it was just too nice to stay inside.
I am so tired, but feel better after writing this
So here was the gratuitous list of "woe is me". I deleted all of it because I feel better now.
I deleted this paragraph, too. Again, not needed any more.
Some of you are in worse circumstances than I am, I know this. I have a roof with a low mortgage,… Read full post »

You may have heard the good news recently- female amatuer boxers are being allowed into the Olympic games starting in 2012. This is a good thing. These women have been boxing for a long time, it is a serious sport,… Read full post »
An Ode to Puff the Cat
Puff the cat. My boon companion at this time. A mutt cat that just happens to look like a rag doll cat. Noisy like a siamese. Doesn't like to be held but will sit next to me for hours.

You and I- Ronnie and Sylvia, a prequel. OS Weekend Fiction
Sylvia and her friends were having a good day. They had all gathered at Sylvia's house for a luncheon and were now lounging out by the pool. Sylvia had a nice pool; kidney shaped with plenty of room for swimming and diving. The deck contained a handful plus of lounge chairs… Read full post »
Serendipity Strikes Again
Had a happy concatenation of events today that ended in a lost cell phone being found.
I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business, as I do between events of helping people out in times of need. A young man entered the room, looking very distressed. One of my… Read full post »

A Deal Gone Wrong- OS Fiction Weekend
The first day of the year was cold and rainy in the California mountains. He sat at the window watching the rain slither down the pane and sighed. Life was just too damn complicated. He turned as a door opened behind him.
"Hello," he said to the blonde entering the room. … Read full post »

Day 9 brings a simplified history of the USA and what's next

In fourteen-hundred-and-ninety-two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue.
Altruistic motives? Hardly. He was on a trip of conquest and exploration to find a shorter route to the Orient, thus enriching coffers for himself and Spain.
