At Planetpals we teach kids not to write on walls! So, what's all this talk about green graffiti and eco graffiti and what is it? How can it be clean?
Eco Graffti is a new art form. A kind of street art. Messages and images are created using natural materials such as grass or moss, like the the Mossberger project by artist Anna Garforth (see "spore"). Or, in the case of artist Jesse Graves, eco graffiti is created by using mud ("share the earth").

Green graffiti, on the other hand, is a reverse process. Where messages and images are power washed out of aged, worn or dirty surfaces such as building walls or sidewalks.
All in all, these techniques may be natural, but in the wrong hands, how eco friendly will they remain; Will these images remain as art installments or will we see mossy advertisements line our city streets and kids names power-washed on train station walls ?
Remember, kids, this is your world, keep it clean! Be a Planetpal.
