Upcycled Clocks That Will Stand The Test Of Time

Rate: 1 Flag

records recycled

...old 45's a time gone by.

It's time to recycle and what better way than to recycle much admired or discarded objects, than into a clock.  You can look at it time and time again! It's pretty simple to do, too.  A myriad of clock faces and mechanisms can be found at arts and craft shops, hobby shops or from clock part vendors online. You can even recycle an old clock into a new clock! Take an old plug in and convert it to a battery operated.

However, if you aren't crafty, then you can find a upcycled clocks by artisans on Etsy!  Here are some clocks I found online that were quite creative and fun to look at.  Whether it be a clock made from a vintage sign, a computer part, a favorite car hubcap, there seems to be one for every taste.

It's time to Recycle, and in some cases these clever clocks make time stand still.

Time for a ride. Clever clock made from a hubcap, but any car parts would work.

computer parts upcycled

Technological time. This clock made from computer boards and parts...how about numbered keyboard or typewriter keys?

upcycled license plates

Special times. A great idea to preserve a time you lived or had  in another state

signs upcycled

Signs of the times. old tins, signage, boxes, any packaging.

upcycled colored pencils

Studio time. This one from colored pencils.  How about markers, vintage crayons, paintbrushes, paint tubes?

upcycled paper

Paper thin time. This clock made with strips of paper...why not decoupage, handmade paper, paper mache, origami, all great recycle crafts!

 upcycled bike parts

Time goes round with this bycicle wheel clock .  Alternatives?  Kids toy wheels or first bike

upcycle electronic devices

Obsolete time. Electronic devices can be saved from a landfill by making clocks on them, computer boards, screens, old radios.

beer bottle upcycle

I'll drink to that!  A bottle clock makes it drink time.  Why not use a favorite soft drink, an old milk bottle, perfume bottle or create a bar clock made from a liquor bottle.
