Yesterday there was
love like a burden
or a bird.
It flew so high the
sun singed its wings
and I fell to earth
buried under
Sargassas Sea---weeds
covering the face of
my marked self.
Like an old rock
I sit waiting for
the
movement
a cataclysmic
earth to make
me

break
into

a thousand pieces.
