I have three bumper stickers on my car. My car is almost ten years old and I am hoping to get at least ten full years out of it.
1) a Heifer International cow jumping over my back shield wiper. Heifer is one of my favorite charities. I would give more to wildlife / habitat organizations, but until the world's population has their needs met, what's the point ?
2) a PEACE bumper sticker in which the characters are made up of symbols of the world's major religions. Why do we have to fight about religion; God wouldn't like that. Isn't that obvious ???
3) a small "Out of Place" sticker I found at Sam's Club on a six pack of plastic water bottles (no shit ?). I am out of place. I am artsy, introspective, unthreatened by others' points of veiw, open-minded and individualistic and I live in a very traditional, conservative, "you're not from around here, are ya?" small town. Still I like most everyone I know, am involved in my community, try not to get offended by the insensitive things I hear and keep most of my opinions to myself unless I'm around like souls. But they are kinda rare in these parts :)
