MAKE AN END TO BILLIONAIRES BY SQUISHING AVARICE

window

Stained Glass Window Above Designed By Author
The first and only sign of holiness and a mature species wide intellect is little disparity between the haves and the have-nots. Tolerating a system, which encourages Avarice personified by Billionaires, is antithetical to either holiness or a mature species wide intellect. A society which allows, even worships Billionaires is a society of fools, cowards, those with inferiority complexes and sycophants. If it is a society, which sees Billionaires as some sort of benevolent parental unit, a needed entity, then that is indeed a sick society which must be healed. It can only be so healed if people with those special needs are not allowed to vote, run for office or hold any sort of job of power.

Dante would laugh, so would Baron Munchausen, only, then they would sue for plagiarism. Nothing that happens in this world is of great surprise. All things are possible and all things occur.

LAST JUDGMENT

Above Mural By Author

This is the planet of Murphy’s Law. This is the world where if it can happen it will/does happen. This is the place where the majority of inhabitants are doing time for past misdeeds or for refusing enlightenment, some for the first time for testing and even fewer are prophets sent to/for guidance of the rest. One can tell which are the prophets and which are the sick, the prophets are right about major incidents and trends of evil, the rest are clueless, baffled and angry and envious of the prophets and so they ignore or resisit the clues to which the enlightened pay close attention. This is one of the places the Roman Catholic Church calls Purgatory, some call Hell and a Small, Misguided Crew calls Heaven (SMC). They are the billionaires, they are the “movers and shakers,” they are often the sickest of the sick. They are the Cheney’s, the Bushites and their tireless sycophants-Hey has Alberto Gonzalez ever found a job?

The sycophants are the ones who make the perverted, avarice infested/infected plans occur. They are the mentally ill, the souls soaked in blood and gold and inferiority complexes they are the real movers and shakers, but seldom the minds behind the plans. In The Brother’s Karamazov the septuagenarian cardinal-the agnostic Grand Inquisitor (Part II, Chapter 5) who captured the returning Jesus in order to kill him, is a perfect example of a demoniac human-one whose body lives on Earth, but whose souls lives in perpetual Hell and which brings Hell to Earth ala Cheney, Hitler, Bush, DeLaye and the host of Fundamentalist “Christian Right” (of which they are neither, Christian nor right).

Let us burst a few bubbles. First, America’s system of selecting most CEO’s is identical to the system of appointing Community College Presidents, and equally egregious.

It is a “Good” Old Boys Club, which is neither “good” nor are it’s members “boys.” I have sat on Board’s of Directors of two charitable organizations, acted as an Ombudsman, and troubleshooter on another, and served on a few corporate boards. I eventually resigned from all of them, the moment I smelled corruption. I sat on the College Senate as a Professor, and was offered more than one opportunity to join the Administration’s and refused, four times.

Here is how boards of Directors and CEO’s interact. Wannabe’s who aspire to CEO heights of avarice and Current CEO’s are the heartless and back-bonelessness of most Boards of Directors. Their sole goal is often, a mutual financial upgrading. Their motivation is Avarice, more commonly called greed that which Gecko thought Good and Jesus, the prophets and God Himself, thought evil. If Jesus and all the Prophets as well as their Creator, Almighty God, hated once Evil-one sin, one despicable thing it was and remains Avarice. Better, know as greed. Greed/avarice is the most repugnant, despicable character flaw of all. Worse than any crime against nature, or God. Worse than all the crimes of all of the people imprisoned throughout the USA.

In absolute terms, the United States currently has the largest prison population in the world, with more than 2 million. In 2002, both Russia and China (the latter with a population 4 times that of the USA) also had prison populations slightly in excess of 1 million. So China with a total population of 1,338,612,968 (July 2009 est.) and Russia with a total Population of 141,903,979 (January 1, 2009), total population of 1,480,516,947 or 1.5 Billion people have 1,000,000 imprisoned, and the USA with a population of 300,000,000 (300 million or one fifth) that of China/Russia.

Their process is simple and it began in earnest to change about sixty years ago. The faculty and administration of the Class at Harvard known as the 49ers (circa 1949) made the course of which they were oh, so proud, Administrative Practices (Ad-Prac), a death knell for Ethics and even morality.

As one fellow said in that 49ers class, “See that gorgeous and innocent Co-ed, well tonight I am going to Ad-Prac her brains out!”

The 49ers most successful and greatest number graduates who reached the pinnacle of vast material success of any class in their history. A good many of the 49ers were GI Bill WW II veterans, who were greatly rewarded by their Harvard stay.

In essense the Business classes at Harvard beginning in 1946, were a slap in the face to traditional ethics and business morality, which in the opinion of many, were allowed to slip and slide into the gutter. Was it true that the Ad-Prac class’s tone and structure if not the interpretation were the introduction to the post war boom/bubble and ever after, showed Senior Management how to antagonize, objectify, exploit, and subjugate labor and lower management. When the 49ers began college, stoves, and refrigerators lasted 20-30-40 years, as did most autos. Light bulbs lasted anywhere from five to 25 years and more. A furnace lasted a lifetime; houses tenure was almost immortal, made of the finest materials in the world.

However, not-to-worry, the 49ers fixed all of that, with the era of fragile products, short-term houses, autos, and everything else. They developed and got rich teaching under management how to create Planed Obsolescence, which has become the horror of the modern world, the environment, air, water, and land. However, what the 49ers capitalized on it and will be long dead before they suffer through much of it.

The moment they were educating themselves, a 12-year-old young boy in Chicago Illinois in 1949 wrote a paper on what he called “The Net Result of Over Production.” In it he described the world of 2009 perfectly and received in his class the highest grade ever given on one paper, 276 points, he tied that record with a chalkboard lecture presentation to the class in a practical explanation of E=MC2 using H2O as a simple no-nuclear example.

The old record for such a paper and Chalkboard lecture was 96 points. His teacher Miss Lane was a bit of a prophet herself, predicting the ten years before that some day the USA would become mired in what is now Viet Nam, then known as a part of French Indochina and before that over the centuries by dozen other names.

I have, indeed, watched the worst of mankind’s bottom feeders; the soulless operate by delivering pain sans empathy for any and everyone they touch. By the way, does anyone know why Tom DeLaye has never come to trial for his alleged crimes? Wow! Just are elected and often you can get away with anything. You know, I do not believe that two houses of Congress are enough, I think we need another, the first two are now corrupted beyond remedy by avaristic creatures whose souls are slowly dripping into Hell and not so much for what they have stolen, but for what they have perverted and harmed by their words and actions.

I say we have this Third House and we pass a law making Lobbying and its benefactors a Capital Crime, with a good and hardy trial, and then we just shoot the bastards who give the “favors” and those who accept them, right between the eyes-Boom, with a paintball gun, and then exile them! Ala Denny Crane

Avarice/Greed, not sex should be made illegal since Jesus calls it the worst Sin of all. It has, in my reflections caused 96% of all deaths throughout history, directly through wars and murders and indirectly through the ravages of slovenly greedy bastards throughout time. I am certain it is the result of an Incubus Virus. I don’t know about you but I have never had an avaristic moment in my entire life, have you. Oh, I admit my predilection for female company and the more the merrier, the prettier the better, the more voluptuous the more delicious. I also admit my lust for painting, books, sports, movies, learning, great food, but alas, I have little fondness for the grape-I don’t drink, hardly at all. Well, a guy has to have some flaws, no?

CEO Compensation Packages at publicly traded companies should be capped at $2.5 million a year. All such publicly traded and also privately owned companies as well as all governmental agencies should be contributors to a national fund for pensions, which is sacrosanct and out of the reach of the city, state or Federal loans or any other means of denting or defiling them. And I am reminded by Zumalicious to add one I left out, but had in my other article on this subject, to undo usury laws and eliminate Penalties and cap interest rates at 7.5% annually.

All the entities above should provide healthcare through the federal government for every citizen of the USA. They should also supply finances for Soup Kitchens for the indigent and pensions for any person who has served the military in times of war or police action and their families after the warrior is deceased.

The estates of all Americans who own more than a $10,000,000 net worth should be capped at that figure, any overage should be confiscated for charitable use. We do not need people who are making 550-1100 times the average Compensation Packages of their employees. We need no royalty in America, and those whose net worth allows overage enough to bribe officials are unnecessary and a hazard to Freedom, the Constitution, The Bill of Rights as we have seen. We need no handful of super-wealthy to direct public officials to pollute our waterways as they are doing, our air, as they are doing, our food supplies as they are doing.

We need to tax the bejeepers out of outsourcing companies and bring jobs back to America. We need no worry about competing if we pay our porkers enough, they will be our market, and we need not lower our standards to match those of the poorest companies.

France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and many other countries have found markets for high quality fashions, automobiles and other products. They do not compete price wise, they instead use, as we once did, superior materials, designs, solutions to problems, to make our products desired world wide not for price but for quality. That is what Japan which was the China of today, before WW II did after the war.

We need to get our President the Honorable, I am the New Royalty-Obama, to demand laws which mandate and give whole tax benefits for Hot water Radiant Heat, Geothermal HVAC, Solar Shingles, and eight inch walls, insulated with R-30 and ceilings with R-50.

We need to give dignity and decent pay, healthcare coverage to all working Americans ad stop killing them with toxins and we need to make it impossible for people to become rich enough to influence presidents and congress in any way with bribes and outlaw lobbying forever. Jesus threw the money changers, the influencers of the powerful out of the portico of the temple, now we need 2000 year later to throw them out of the halls of Congress and the White House. In addition, we need to listen to our prophets or God is only going to get more and more pissed-off until He ends it all for the world with one massive flue-like bug and/or war, and/or Toxic waste horror, and/or all of the above.

We did all of the above ages ago and gradually lost the charm following WW II. Back then and now in Northern Europe Executive pay at Publicly traded companies was/is at 25 times that of the average employee Compensation Package, and we sure as all Hell can do it again. Northern Europe is the New America in terms of CEO compensation, God Bless. them.

I agree with a lot of what I understand that you've said....well, not shooting lobbyists, but making them illegal would be good. I admit, I missed some of it. There are a number of things we could do to change the system, starting with elections. The system in Germany gives seats to minority parties on a percentage basis. That would be good to mandate seats in the House for the Green Party, too. And, outlaw the Electorial college and elect the Prez by direct vote. I do think that we need to have salary caps on publically traded company salaries, and we've tried to equalize the benefits for employees and management, but they manage to get around it.

Thomas Friedman says, "Don't change your lightbulbs, change your leadership." We're working on it!
Lots of issues here , more people should read about these. Especially good point about Europe's sucess in design and industry. They have good pay and benefits, too, so why can't we?
love the colorful images too.
CBerg:
Shooting them is a Denny Crane fantasy. You are right on most of your points, though my jury is still out on popular vote.

I agree, thanks about my images
New Blog:
I never forget only because I drink gallons of Dr. Pepper and the caffeine jolts my aging mind.
I enjoyed this post and would add putting the boot down on credit products that involve usurious interest rates, driving a person into default when the person is perfectly able to pay the original contract.
You're preaching to the saved here.

Your stained glass is absolutely beautiful. I love mandalas, which is part of the reason I guess. In the context of this piece, I would interpret it as the upper half being either the haves or have nots (depending on your point of view), and the bottom half being for those less fortunate (they look like they are behind bars).

Zumalicious:
You know I had Credit and bank excesses on my last one I will add that and credit you, which is more than banks and credit cards do for us.
Murphy's Law combined with s**t happens.
Well, avarice is hardly a new phenomenon, else it wouldn't be one of the Seven Deadly Sins. And certainly there were the equivalents of billionaires in the likes of Stanford, Getty, Morgan et al. long before the Class of '49.

That said, the prevailing mood now is one of meaness of spirit as well as finances. I personally don't covet my neighbour's ass or his wife or his property or any other damned thing, but a lot of people do. It's an epidemic that pervades every level of society.

As for shooting lobbyists and their targets, I think you already know my feelings on that score, Prof. There's a special circle of Hell set aside just for them.

Indeed you are correct on Stanford, Getty, Morgan and the addition to mean spiritedness, at which the Busites Excell! I even changed the Boom! To a paint gun shot and exile!
Another brilliant column, but that glasswork is really magnificent.
Again, your postings teach and inform. But the pictures are simply beautiful. Your genius simply amazes me! (✔)

Re: Glass work:
I design the window, then allow the client to view bids by 3-5 manufacturers, then I and an assistant go to their chosen studio and select the usually 500-2000+ pieces of glass. If figures are involved I do the Full sized Cartoons. Thanks, Pete
Very interesting read and I can't disagree with you. All of the theological education I have had in my life, some of it on the Christian religion specifically, has taught me that Jesus would probably be far more concerned about wealth inequality and the way we treat the poor than He would be about, say, homosexual marriage or cheating spouses.

And yet, the Republicans/conservatives seem to embrace sex as the only "sin" they are unwilling to tolerate - while tolerating the sins of greed, pride, and hatred in abundance.

IF ONLY!!!, Pete, if only!

We have become a nation of pimps and hookers. The greed and avarice in every space is appalling. What will wake us up?

Truly I do not know.

I speak out against it often...and treasure those moments when I encounter someone else doing so.

Thanks.

Make no mistake...I disagree significantly with some of the foundation here...but the ediface is pure beauty to me.
While I agree with alot of what you say, if I'm not mistaken, Religion has caused more death than than any other thing in history.
Scanner:
We agree on Organized Religion causing more death, as I have said before, but signal Spirituality is a blessing from the Godhead and I do embrace that. Dogma as I have said often is what divides enlightened Humans and God from Organized Religions of the world. Each may have a shard of the vest mosaic which is God, none have exclusivity, and all have dogma and God is NOT partial to dogma.

Frank:
Most of my friends and even the great love of my life and I do not agree on everything, but she is prettier than my friends by far, so she has a longer leash. Friends always agree to disagree and that is the civilized, enlightened thing to do. Thanks for reading and commenting.
Wheeew...Squisito Brother Pete,

WOooWww, wu wei, yipee yi yeaah, halleluiah, dag nab it, hot digadi dog, sweeet, ruthlessly truthful, delightfully humorous, purifying Fiiiya/fired-up, meta-physics/Spiritual with the religious and scientific balancing and harmoniously blending with the natural - to da funk, historical, political, sacred sexuality, arts and cultures, spotlighting the major - main and most egregious criminals among our species, as well as their enablers and supporters - TRULY Awesome words, verses and pictures 'worth more than a thousand words.' Deepalistic (original word not on Wikipedia, yet) to Cosmic.

For me reading this is as enjoyable as being skin to skin with one or more exquisitely beautiful women - mentally, spiritually and physically, tropical splendor, enchanted and sacred Jazz -and other higher rhythms and vibrations expressed in musical performances - arts and cultures, fine cuisine, and uhm...feel free to let YOUR share of the grapes trickle down to me.:) For sure, right up there with the best of the best of ALL Times.

This piece, breaking it all down - along with a viable initial plan for solutions, makes it coherently, inspirationally, motivationally and enjoyably CLEAR that We Can Not Possibly Loose, ultimately.

That is, 'We' being those of us who are well informed - Awake, Aware, Alert and flat all out active on the case to assure that our individual sentient Souls and Spirits continue on to more desirable dimensions, as well as the best possible future habitation on this Earth, being environmentally, educationally, economically, physically, mentally and spiritually conditions and circumstances, beneficial for Flowers In Bloom, rather than Doom and Gloom.

I AM sure that YOU, and I, along with numerous others, will keep on stroking on.

Myself (with whatever name label), as a part of ALL.
Bro Cosmic Chief and warrior of the Holy Spirit of the Divine, words. Whoa, what a Complement coming from the Prophetic CosmicDetective, I bow to your superior Good taste and near omnipotent Judgment. (I am smiling.)
God bless Bro
Prof., I am breathless with admiration for this eloquent, well-thought-out and presented "Rage Against The Machine". I couldn't muster a better screed if I tried, and your acidic treatise is a carbon copy of my own feelings about the self-made cesspool we are mired in. One hell of a job, Man.

I am riveted.

Joe Blow.
Yes. Holy Spirit and Organized Religion are not one and the same. My internal mini-Holy Spirit agrees with you.
Joe Blow:
I am seldom humbled, but the outpouring today for what I have written, honestly has moved me, especially from those which I respect. I am honored that you see the truth of my words-that is enlightenment.

Gail:
We agree on so many things, but Bless you for putting some of that into words.
You've drawn a blueprint for the house we all need. Yet, too many of us still sit in the elements, bleaching our souls, not wanting to be the first on our block to pick up a hammer and nails.

Long may your bell ring.
vonnia:
Why thank you. You know I was trained as an architect and with my uncle built many large structures, hospitals, churches. schools and I liken everything I do to the process of contracting, strategy, tactics, logistics, etc. so really you have read into my plans extremely well, you in a manner of speaking read my thought patterns. Very well done, Vonnia.

As Einstein said, and I concur with in my experience, "Sometimes, God allows me to read his mind..." and now Vonnia reads mine, how cool is that?
The Holy Spirit has opened your mind. May God Bless you, John
I forgot to mention the stained glass is beautiful. And I usually don't use that word lightly!

I also like the use of the word: squish. Very descriptive of what should be done. I like that word. It is for insects.

Also I can't shut up, I noticed a disturbing trend for parents in private school to not have a problem with their children exhibiting greedy behaviors. It was actually encouraged among a segment that were not there for religious reasons but for the social reasons for going to private school. It made me sad. There was this idea that greed will guarantee survival in a competitive world. I say bull shit. Generosity is the only reason we have survived as long as we have as a civilization. If greed were the reason, there would only be a few powerful people and the rest of us would have died out.

Keep on sharing the things you have spent a lifetime thinking about.
Brenda I know the feeling. Parents and the acquired/inherited greed of their children, anything goes, lack of courtesy, etc. You see it every day when driving, selfishness.
