It's difficult, that's for sure! (staying on a budget) I also love to travel, but prefer doing it in a car so I can see the sites along the road.

I took my "trip of a lifetime" about exactly a year ago to Italy and thank God I did, as I don't think I'll ever be able to afford that again!
(I'd come visit you in Portland - if it's Oregon)
