Rather than the Ponzi Pyramid towering above a vast, frigid landscape, picture a big chocolate kiss (and inside a shareable gift) on the lip of a prison cell window, just beyond the reach of the innocent man below. And all of us as the summer sun.

Flint's Healthcare Graffiti Battle

Rate: 2 Flag

Those familiar with Flint are familiar with the slab of cement at the intersection of Hammerberg & 12th Streets that has been a low-tech community message board for decades. Some call it the "the rock." To others it's "the block." Either way, it's seen it all: engagement announcements, birthday wishes, remembrances, beefs, politicking – even an attempt by former Flint Mayor Don Williamson to silence the tradition, only to later embrace it with a $500 annual prize when the backlash against his threatened censorship reached a fever pitch.

Over the last few days, a new rock/block battle appears to be shaping up between advocates for a Single-Payer National Healthcare Plan (H.R. 676) and those convinced any change to the status quo will kill your grandmamma.

Locals contend that the winner of this battle will be the first to paint the rock with the blood of an actual senior citizen.

I live in Michigan ... seriously, how could anyone in Flint not want a US Healthcare plan? There are not jobs ... where else do they think they are going to get it from?
I hope that Flintonians are smarter than this, over all. I do really appreciate these pics, especially the close-ups of the "death care" scrawl.
gee, Obama might actually do something

no wonder people are stirred up
