Anyhoo, here we are, 3 days before Christmas and the debate rolls on. "Do you say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, Star". Baiting, waiting to see if I am politically correct or not. Silliness. Christians claim the month for themselves. I have heard people say they will boycott stores that have "Happy Holidays" on the windows. Really! Is it the thought that no one else should have a happy holiday?
I, a former Catholic, who loves Jesus, shudder to think that He would find such pettiness worth an instant of thought. I think it's great that we celebrate the birth of Jesus in December..even though he was probably not born til March...who cares? (I'd celebrate my birthday every month if there were a gift in it for me...bad Buddhist!)
Then of course I do get the question from my Christian friends.."Well, do you celebrate Christmas?" Of course I do! And I'll celebrate Chanukkah, and Kwanzaa, and every other December happy day. It's a party for everyone...all month long.
I can't help but think, That's What Jesus Would Do!
Peace and Love to all!
