Sinclair Lewis, in "It Can't Happen Here" wrote in 1935 "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the American flag, carrying the cross."
Mainstream media has given much about Mitt Romney and his LDS beliefs (which are odd but benign), yet have little to say about the Dominionism movement and how it relates to The Bush Doctrine, the selection of cabinet members and advisors, the awarding of contracts to companies working in Iraq (notably Blackwater...recently coming under scrutiny for accusations of arms smuggling into Iraq...for a holy war?) http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=9325 , and the unvetted selection of Sarah Palin as the GOP nominee for VPOTUS. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=10167
ABC News leads us to believe that Sarah Palin wont allow her personal religious beliefs to affect her public policy duties...but it is obvious that isn't so based on answers to questions dealing with her stance on abortion rights, victims of rape, public policy pertaining to global warming, family policy, sex education, and freedom of religion/ separation of church and state.
It is important that Americans educate themselves on this information. It is terribly underreported and even considered to be in the ranks of "fringe lunacy". It is important to go to Theocracy Watch and read the information provided there...especially the information dealing with the origins of the Dominionist movement (the failed presidential bid of Barry Goldwater). Oddly, it is Barry Goldwater who would be the most vocal of opponents to the religious right and their attempts to influence public policy with ultra-conservative evangelical Christian doctrine.
Don't think that if Sen. Obama becomes president that the Dominionists will go away. They will regroup and reaffirm their commitment to making this a Christ-centered government with little tolerance for any other religion.
It can't happen here, right?
I wonder if mainstream America is aware of this.

On the other hand, I don't know who you and the deists are either. I have absolutely no trust in "founders" of new religious sects, especially in Ft. Lauderdale, or in people who post their professional bios on this social network.
So, while your message may be true, I doubt your motives.
