In my attempt to capture the spirit of Rand Paul, I've made an adjustment to Barbra Streisand's "The Way We Were." My humble apologies to Ms. Streisand even though the movie was overblown crap.
The Rand Paul Memory Lane Song
Mmm. Mmm.
Memories, of before we fell behind
Misty watercolor memories of Eighteen Fifty Five
Scattered pictures, of a time when just white men could vote
Women had no say back then
That’s the way we were
You and me we loved our slaves
Our kids worked in factories and mines
If you were old and starved to death, you’d blame yourself
Wouldn’t you? Couldn’t you?
Memories, of a time that was beautiful and yet
It’s important to remember
Of what we're glad we can't forget
That we can have it all back now
If we simply vote Rand Paul
We can recapture, We can recapture
The way we were.
Hopefully I can get somebody to swallow their pride and sing this at a local forum tomorrow.
