Rick Perry, Rain and God

Rate: 3 Flag
On April 21st of this year, Governor Rick Perry issued an official "Proclamation for Days of Prayer for Rain in Texas."  Since then there has been no significant rain fall in drought stricken Texas. Tropical Storm Lee did drop major rain in the neighboring state of Louisiana. Winds from the storm have fanned wildfires across Texas.  If Rick Perry believes that there is indeed a divine being which listens to our prayers, then there is only one clear conclusion - that God must really hate Rick Perry.

The god must be really trying to piss him off, Rick...because he is mocking him by giving us here in New Jersey all this goddam rain. Not sure how you are faring up in JC and Hudson Country...but here in Middlesex Country, we have got water up the kazoo.
And who could blame Him.
In Hudson County we've had no shortage of rain. Maybe we should have Rick Perry pray for rain up here. It might dry things out.
Now I'm mad. I mention wildfires that make me evacuate my home, and I'm a displaced evacuee and this guy only has to say, "God hates Rick Perry and his blog is swarmed with comments."

Sheesh, I tell, I get no respect.

And I even mention that Rick Perry blew a golden opportunity to make political points, but NOOOOO! you all ignore me. Boo hoo hoo hoo.

I'm just kidding there, my friend, I think God has been trying to speak to Rick, but it's just so hard to hear God when the devil's pitchfork is sticking between the ears. It's like a damn tuning fork of hell, if you get me.

Hottest Recorded Heat since 1926
Longest Hot Spell in Weather Keeping Records ( 80 days)
Worst Drought in over 50 years (currently we're 19" below cumulative to date total from January.)
Over 65 Fires just over the Labor Day Weekend.

In my best Michele Bachmann voice, "Can't you hear God talking to you, People? He's saying, 'You can't let that evil man Rick Perry be President! Look at what God's doing to his State. It's burning in the Fires of Hell."
All kidding aside, hope you all get lots of rain. I grew up in Dallas and remember how hot and dry it could get without a drought.
Watch Rick (secession from the Union is an option for TX and unemployed Texans don't want stimulus money) ask for relief money for the fires. Where the money will go when it comes is another question. This guy was a Democrat when Democrats were in power, then he was a Republican now he's Tea Party? maybe or maybe not but he's what ever you want him to be if you got the bucks and votes.
