I was reading this article about how the Latinos were angry about the Republicans voting against the appointment of Sonia Sotomayor. This Author, ( Dolores M. Bernal ) wrote her opinion about the whole deal and I found it to be a pretty good read, and thought I would share it with you all.
She makes some very good points and if I was one of these Senators looking to be re-elected in 2010.. Why, I might be looking for another job.. Just in case.
Poor old John McCain really screwed the pooch THIS time!
QUOTE: "As a Latina and a US citizen who votes at every election, I will invest time and effort to tell my family members who are also US citizens and voters, to remember what Republicans did today when the majority of them voted against Judge Sonia Sotomayor.
It’s an absolute insult to Latinos in this country – especially to those of us who have been here for generations – to hear Republicans say that the only things we care about are “jobs and the economy” and that therefore the GOP won’t lose Latino voters after voting against Sotomayor."
"Fellow Progressives and Latinos, on the next election, a huge “NO” to those who voted against Sotomayor:"

Those asses really shot themselves in both feet this time, but if you look at the states that these Senators come from, most are either considered racist or very white states. Go figure.
I hope I’m wrong as hell, but I really don’t think we’re ever going to get anywhere with the current two-party bull shit. Check out the Libertarians. They aren’t the fringe nut cases people seem to think. In fact, for those of you who lived through the 60s revolution, they represent what we all hoped for.
It’s time for political change again. It’s time to take back our freedom and liberties.
