Steve just called me.. He is back in the hospital, (no.. not for a heart.) It seems the Doctors think he has a blood clot in his LVAD. They are afraid that it will cut loose and kill him. They want to crack him open and replace the unit. Steve doesn't want to be cracked open again, (this will be the third time this year.)

Said he had a real, bad, attitude about the whole deal. They were sending him back to the Hotel so he can try to work things out because his mind has to be right before they try, (and if he decides to let them.) I can tell you that I have known Steve for 40 something years and he won't have any of it, if he doesn't want to.. and I can understand his side of the deal. He is afraid. He is afraid that if they put him out, he will never be brought back. He has had a bad year, dying many times, (Nancy brought him back this last go round) and now he is afraid of pushing his luck. I can dig it, and told him so.

I told him I support any thing he thinks is best because I love him and he is my brother, (no relation.)

So anyway.. in my post below, you can find Nancy's email address, if you would like to send some encouragement, (and if you are one of those damn spammers we have on here I will hunt you down and eat your liver, if you spam them... I promise you.)

Send a card, (the address is there) or donate to their PayPal account because they are flat broke and it isn't over till it is.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, MY OS FRIENDS! I want to add a special Thank You to all of you who sent me cards and as an added bonus, helped me with my bills. (I will have a swell and proper post on the subject in the New Year.)
