List of Unusual Deaths

Rate: 5 Flag

From the Greek playwright who was crushed to death when a bird dropped a tortise on his head, all the way to the nine poor souls who died in the London Beer Flood, Wikipedia has catalogued the world's most unusual deaths from Ancient Greece through the present.

Many of the deaths lead to their own murky Wikipedia entries, but few pages are more heavily referenced in this laundry-list obituary than the List of Inventors Killed by Their Own Inventions, including Franz Reichelt who attempted to use this contraption as a parachute.  A jump off the Eiffel Tower to test the device proved fatal.

Interesting. I'll have to look this up.
Ha! That's awesome. Ah, prog rock, where are your limits?
...I don't know if it's on their list but I know that one of the first guys to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel, eventually died when he slipped on the sidewalk somewhere and hit his head. I love irony!

I guess I'd be more interested in a list of ironic deaths - David Carradine's qualifies.
there are about 100 unusual deaths of middle eastern men in american custody, have any made the wiki list?
