Johnny Robish is an actor, stand-up comic and joke/humor writer who lives in Malibu, California. Most recently, Johnny had a weekly humor column entitled “Kauai Komedy” in The Garden Island, Kauai’s main newspaper before moving back to Malibu. A committed writer, Johnny has often stated that “the only time I’m really happy is when I’m sitting in front of a typewriter. Unfortunately, there are no typewriters anymore, so I’m just miserable all the time.” A favorite at comedy clubs all over the western United States, Johnny’s humor has also been published in such diverse venues as the LA Times “Laugh Lines”, medical journals, trade publications, dozens of company newsletters, humor magazines and numerous internet sites such as The Malibu Patch, Curve Wire, Salon.com, AARP, DailyComedy.Com, FunnyFirm.Com, How Sick Is That? and Peter Bergman’s Radio Free OZ which also features TV’s John Goodman, Edie McClurg and Paul Krassner. Johnny has also written for road comics including Taylor Negron, Mel Kohl, Marti Schauer and Jere Evans.

Utah Man Cited Over Doctor Bill Payment:  A Utah man has been charged with disorderly conduct for trying to pay a disputed doctor’s bill with all pennies.  In related news, an Indiana man refused to pay his cardiologist’s bill and ended up under cardiac arrest.

 

Rubio Upstaged By Water Bottle:  Florida Sen. Marco Rubio delivered the GOP response to the president’s State of the Union address, attacking Obama on taxes and government spending—but what earned Rubio instant internet fame was reaching over and sneaking a drink from a water bottle during the televised speech.  While some are dismissing the incident as irrelevant, others are calling it another “watergate.”

Ex-San Diego Mayor Wagered Over $1 Billion Gambling:  A former San Diego mayor and fast-food heiress acknowledged that she misappropriated $2.1 million from her late husband's charitable foundation in a decade-long gambling spree when she wagered more than $1 billion.  On a positive note, she now includes Pete Rose among her Facebook friends.

 

Crippled Ship Arrives In Mobile Alabama:  The crippled Carnival Triumph cruise ship has been towed into Mobile, Ala., after being stranded for more than a week at sea with more than 4,000 passengers on board and no working toilets.  So after being stranded for a week with no toilets they end up in Mobile, Alabama?  Isn’t that pretty much like getting transferred from one cesspool to another?

How can a person gamble away several million dollars, and not notice a certain trend that all gamblers experince -- money gambled, money all gone? Did she really have to blow a billion dollars? And why the need to gamble if you've got that much money?
