Glenn Beck mocks the ratings of a show that crushes his own.

Rate: 21 Flag

Glenn Beck was at his condescending best today when he mocked the ratings of "This Week with Christiane Amanpour," apparently oblivious to the fact that "This Week" crushes "The Glenn Beck Show" in the ratings department.  The following video clip is only 9 seconds long... not long enough to cause permanent drain bamage .

The smug Mr. Beck seems to get great joy out of pointing out to his audience that "nobody watches (ABC's "This Week")... Christiane Amanpour is on."

Well, if nobody is watching "This Week" then nobody minus 33% is watching "The Glenn Beck Show."

"This Week with Christiane Amanpour" pulled in 3.34 million viewers last week.

"The Glenn Beck Show" averaged  2.25 million average for 2010.

What kind of guy mocks the supposedly dismal ratings of an ABC news program when his own ratings are 33% lower

1)  Glenn Beck's producers are on fact-check overload.

2)  Glenn Beck knows that his core audience believes that every syllable of bullshit that flies out of his mouth is true, so they have no reason to fact-check him.

3)  Glenn Beck is an idiot, unaware of the fact that he also loses badly to "SpongeBob SquarePants."

4)  All of the above.

Actually, I don't think that Glenn Beck is an idiot... but he sure thinks that his viewers are.

They are. Beck is Jim Jones without the Kool- Aid.
I'm almost positive that 9 seconds caused me brain damage! Damn it all.
Your post said it all! No need to waste 9 seconds...
i can't watch him without barfing. i'll just believe you, roger. ;
All that trouble to post the link too...

Beck published a letter to america, trying to jump on the civility bandwagon. (They likely know Pesident Obama scored big wth that one.) All he denouced was violence not hate speech.

He is likely smart so it makes it even worse that he spreads hate in order to make money and have power. Shame on him.
That was 9 seconds too long.
The violent rhetoric is not going away because it pays too well. And I won't give this 9 seconds of my life that I can't get back. How can anyone with half a brain put stock in anything that comes out of this guy's mouth? I can't figure it out.
Thanks a lot, now that's marytkelly and ME that has brain damage from the 9 seconds of Beck!

Zumapick for saying something about ratings...we don't get enough information about those.
Well that's 9 seconds I'll never get back. Can't imagine him going civil. There would go the livelihood.
I have never heard of "This Week with Christiane Amanpour", however I have heard of Glenn Beck, nuff said :o)
Christiane Amanpour is amazing. I'm so glad she has this show now.
Beck, Palin and that whole gang are just examples of "selling one's soul". They're not dumb, they simply have no ethics.
I'm with Spudman. I also wonder if the kool aid is coming some time down the road.
He was especially annoyed because Christine visited Tucson last week for her show.
Maybe more people would watch Beck if he was only like 8 seconds long!!! Teeheehee!

:D Be like, "He's over already? AWESOME!!" :D
Roger, you seem like a good smart kind person of goodwill, so why do you try to persuade us watch these clips of Glenn Beck? Friends do not do this to friends. Since we're friends, I would encourage you to stop watching him yourself. It's brain abuse.
Beck operates on the principal of "if I say it, it must be true".
Thanks for the fact checking. I couldn't watch the clip either...I'll take your word for it. Great read.
Everyone can talk all they want, but until they actually do something that has an effect on the nation like that of Glenn Beck their voices are as impressionable as a fart in the wind. Whether believers are idiots is a matter of time.
