China Knocks Off Steve Jobs' Funeral

Rate: 8 Flag

The Chinese government announced the death of Steve Jobs with an exact copy of the the statement that Apple released, with the exception of one word.

Apple's statement in part read:

"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today. Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives."

In the Chinese version of the statement the word “innovations” was replaced with "knockoffs."

To honor the memory of Steve Jobs, the Chinese government also ordered the nation's counterfeit Apple stores to close for the day, while they staged an elaborate fake funeral for the iconic American businessman.

Officials scoured the Chinese prisons for a Jobs lookalike.  When they found a suitable candidate they executed him, harvested his organs for the lucrative black market, dressed the corpse in a cheap copy of the Knitcraft mock turtleneck that Jobs famously wore, and buried him in a clone of a high-end "Batesville Casket," complete with the "Memory Shelf" feature.

In a seperate matter Chinese officials were also disappointed with the release of the iPhone 4S.  In an official statement the government said, "Apple kind of fucked us with the 4S.  Due to the tepid response that the 4S unveiling generated in the United States, we will focus our energy on knocking off the "Macbook Air" and reevaluate our strategy once the iPhone 5 is announced."

To knock off National Lampoon, "That's not funny. That's sick!" But I like it. R
countless knockoffs that enrich and improve all of our lives - perhaps a little too telling of their view of how to conduct business? :S
I will wait with baited breath to buy the knock of the moive from the mob.
