Goldman Sachs' Gene Sykes Needs Our Help Now!

Rate: 5 Flag

Up until very recently Gene Sykes, one of Goldman Sachs' top mergers and acquisitions bankers, was living the good life.  Imagine the American Dream buzzed on a cocktail of Almus Beluga cavair, 1865 Chateau Lafite and Primobolan and you have Gene Sykes' life.

Now I'm not 100 percent sure of this but something seems to have gone horribly wrong and Mr. Sykes may need all of us to chip in a little extra cash to hold him over until things get better.

As recently as last summer things seemed quite well with Sykes, who managed to pay $40 million in cash for this Bel Air mansion.

Eight bedroom, 35,000 sq.ft. Bel Air mansion
purchased by Gene Sykes in July, 2011.

Sykes, who by most accounts is a very private man, likely made a valiant effort to keep his financial woes under wraps but  when "Restore Our Future," the Super PAC that supports Mitt Romney, released their donor list, Sykes could no longer hide his shameful secret:  He only gave half of what his Goldman Sachs colleagues gave to make sure that Barack Obama is a one term Marxist.

Goldman Sachs Employee Contributions

James Donavan                                      $95,000

Edward C. Forst                                      $95,000

Muneer Satter                                        $95,000

Kristen Hertel (Satter's wife)                $95,000

Gene Sykes                                            $50,000

50K?  That's it?  Maybe we could take turns helping with his Comcast bill or bring his family cans of Dollar Store canned corn?

Of course I could be reading more into this report than is actually there.  Sykes might not be broke at all.  He could be just a selfish, "all about me," lone wolf.  I bet his kindergarten report card said, "Eugene is a very bright boy but he doesn't play well with others."

Sykes' colleagues are willing to go the extra mile to make sure that Wall Street will never have to take Main Street into account when they piss away our home equity, 401K's, and pension funds.  With Romney in the White House nobody will ever interfere with their shameful schemes, but apparently that isn't very important to the obviously narcissistic Sykes.

Oh yeah, he can drop $40 million on a garish, ridiculous mansion but he can't kick in an extra $45K to make sure that his colleagues never have to go to jail for the largest financial crimes in world history?

Gene Sykes you are not my idea of a team player.

May your Almus Beluga caviar turn out to be cheap Icelandic lumpfish eggs, your Chateau Lafite end up tasting like room-temperature panther piss, and your Primobolan steroids shrivel your nutsack to the size of a peanut shell.

(By the way did you guys give Obama a shitload of money too because last time I checked he ain't really fuckin' with you either?  You did?  Over a million bucks in '08?  Was it worth it?  Dumb question.)

Perhaps he's really a secret Muslim Marxist.

But I think you've got it right in your last paragraph. I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts all those people are giving just as much to Obama. They've got to hedge their bets, you know (although I'm sure it's hard for them to use their own money to do so).
"or bring his family cans of Dollar Store canned corn?"

MMMMMmmmmmmmMMMMMMmmmmm!! That stuff is the good stuff!!!!

Throw in some books from the Dollar Store shelves and you have yourself one heck of a Saturday night!! ~:D

I keep getting emails from both sides wanting me to donate $3.00.

Mitt actually wants $20.00 before he'll send me a 'Mitt is IT!' hat pin.

The hell?

Ain't these folks, both sides of the Fence, like, multi-millionaires? Can't they fund their own campaigns to the White House(by the way, they ain't too smart, spending millions and millions of dollars to get a job that doesn't really pays that much!! Be better off becoming pro football players!! I bet Mitt is really good throwing a pigskin around!! :D)????

Sheesh!! ~:D

~throws in 20 bucks for Gene~ I know how tough it is out there!! ~nodding~
Loved the acerbic and succinct writing Roger. You nailed this one.
Yes, it's true that the Oners will bribe -- I mean donate to -- both sides. I don't like it, but I accept that under our miserable excuse for a democracy money talks and bullshit walks -- walks off with the power and the money.

But knowing that it is what it is -- and what it is is ugly and despicable -- I'll still be voting for Obama come November, because unlike the pee-ons on the Rabid Right, I know who butters my bread -- and who steals it and gives it to guys like Gene Sykes.
This is really poorly written nonsense.
What Gene Sykes gives, or does not give as a Political contribution is his business and his business only.
If this writer is going to go to the trouble of slinging this drool, it could at least be relevant.
My guess is this writer is simply jealous of the success Gene Sykes has created in his life.
Roger, when is the last time you contributed $50,000 to anything?
Yeah, right....never
