Sarah Palin?
CLSA
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets is one of the region’s largest and most highly rated independent equity brokers and financial-services groups, focused on providing broking, investment banking and asset management to corporate and institutional clients around the world.[1][2]
Founded in 1986, CLSA has its headquarters in Hong Kong and offices or representatives in 15 cities across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as New York, London, San Francisco and Dubai. CLSA is majority owned (65%) by Crédit Agricole, France’s largest retail-banking group, with the remainder held by staff.
Unlike most of its competitors, CLSA is a research-driven agency broker.[3] It’s known for its annual investor forums (particularly the calibre of its keynote speakers and the star acts at its parties), as well as its unique reports, the hallmarks of which are colourful and sometimes irreverent “cartoon” covers[4] and analysis that goes beyond the numbers and ‘tells the story’ (a legacy of the journalism background of its founders). It has produced a number of seminal reports, including Billion Boomers and Mr & Mrs Asia.
HONG KONG, China (CNN) -- Sarah Palin touched on a host of topics -- including Reaganomics, China and human rights, Tibet, the Asian and U.S. economies, family and moose in Alaska -- as she delivered a speech to investors Wednesday in Hong Kong, according to audience members.

Sarah Palin's speech at CLSA Investors' Forum appeared to be largely well received.
Her 90-minute address, which was closed to the media, was heard by 1,100 people, according to CLSA head of communications Simone Wheeler.
Those who attended her speech said she did well, though some could be seen leaving early on. A few of those people said they were heading to other forum offerings. Most people declined to speak with the media about the speech.

I dvr'd it because it was so weird. According to the Wall Street Journal, here is the quote.
"It's just common sense that government attempts to solve problems like the health care problem will just create more problems."
This is word for word. It makes no sense at all! the three guest commentators couldn't stop laughing! It was HILARIOUS! You really need to look it up. Best comedy on TV. Morning Meeting with Dylan Radigan.
They also mentioned that someone estimated that she got paid in the low six figures for her speech that has sentence structure like that. Holy Crap!
Alaska is soooo lucky that she stepped down.
@myriad, Start with some fancy pagent walkin' and some well placed winks.....You couldn't possibly become as oboxious as she...
@SD, I'm sure that someone had to tell her that 'China' was not in a
closet somewhere in her house....
Uh....duh? Hasn't that already been done?
Ummm, or some other insane reason.
@MTK, Just guessing, but I believe she passed on the Values Voter Conference to prepare for this....It would have been nice if she understood that she needed several months to prepare and stayed out of sight to do so...
Thanks for the update.
"Common sense conservatism, thrust of her speech?"
Pointed attacks at Liberalism...government interference responsible...Palin's theory.
Mixed reaction - from boring to an excellent job. CNN Wolf Blitzer
Just a nut...in a nutshell.
@KK, It certainly would have been less expensive and quite possibly more informative....
@Cathy, Makes you wonder how much they had to pay the folks who said that she did an excellent job.... The first exit interview question should have been, "Did you stay for the entire 90 minute presentation?"
No?
Shoot!! :)
@l&p, Any time someone wants to punk me for six figures they can be my guest....And unless the fact that she was punked becomes general knowledge, like the punking she got during the campaign when she spoke to the 'French Prime Minister', and not just some inside joke, the whole affair carries the aura of legitimacy which she so desparately needs.... Thanks for the comment....
@Tink...I'm afraid not.....
