This is a good list. The Katrina Disaster could be added to the list . What first started out to be a great natural disaster turned into a huge political disaster for Bush because of the incompent handling of the relief efforts. I think it turned the tide (sorry for the pun) for the general public against Bush and the Republicans.
Not exactly a stellar decade. Thanks for pointing out a couple of bright spots! Happy New Year!
The Indonesian tsunami (12/26/04) deserves a spot on the list
Oops! While the Tsunami was a huge event, it was harldy political.
How about the orders given to the US Army by George Bush to start secretive forced labor camps in America. See army installation regulation 210-35.
Good list, but I would add Katrina, too. Are you back for good?
1. OBAMA!!!!!!!
2. ECONOMIC MELTDOWN
3. 9-11
4. GRADUAL EROSION OF AMERICA, DEPENDENCE ON ALL FOREIGN GOODS, LOSING OUR COUNTRY, LOSS OF CONFIDENCE AND PRIDE IN OUR COUNTRY, DEPENDENCE ON LOANS FROM FOREIGNERS, CRUSHING OF AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS WORKERS TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK FOR SOME
Katrina! Bush really messed that up!
I agree that the political fallout and consequences of Katrina deserves mention.....Keep in mind that if Bush had not been elected the results in a variety of scenarios would be different.....Zuma, I am back on an intermitant basis...........
