"Come on, hop in." I was being invited to ride alond with Senior PGA "rookie" and longtime PGA touring pro, Dan Forsman and his playing partner 2-time Masters champion Bernard Langer for an afternoon "inside the ropes" at this week's ACE Group Classic in Naples, Florida.
I spent a long afternoon in the sun talking golf, politics, family life and the future of the American dream with one of Pro golf's great gentleman.
Just south of Naples, carved out of the heart of the Everglades, TPC Treviso Bay is crawling with the most famous ledgends of golf; dowtown, the 5 -Star restaurants waiting lists are full , the Yatchs are waxed....the Bentley-Jaguar dealership is open till 9 pm.
After a night on the pavement to hear the Presicent Obama address the "crisis" mushrooming across SW Florida, I took a drive 40 minutes away down and see how one of the richest cities in America is coping with the economic meltdown. Now, a day or two to digest it all before making a full report here in OS.
I'll try to watch out for the Gilfstream V's ...........
