What's NOT wrong with that picture (sigh)?
I'll go with what Nikki said.
It's as if someone decided, we don't give a fuck, so why pretend?
Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle! (And, what Sandra said.)
They put the "ran" in "Transocean."
I wish I thought people had some sense of morality, or anything close to it.
Heartbreaking. We don't even understand yet just how heartbreaking. I think this is one of those catastrophes we can't comprehend, that will affect the earth for centuries and in some cases, we won't recover.
Very, very damning and sad.
Truth cuts like a knife, and out bleeds corruption. Keep slicing, my friend, until all the pigs are dead.
criminal. all of the above.
some may find the picture repugnant. i don't like watching hyenas tear down a wildebeest, either. but both are 'nature, red in fang and claw.'

what really upsets me though, is the response of liberals: "ain't it a shame!"

end of story. they do not organize voting pressure groups to get citizen initiative, they do not even join them. presumably the possibility of actual reform of the constitution is so alien that suggestions to that end are diverted to the 'foreign language-pay no attention' parts of the brain. yet women got the vote quite recently, after generations of struggle. amending the constitution is not impossible.

a nation with citizen initiative will have the means to deal with "what's wrong with this picture?" a nation of supine civilians will just watch the picture and say, "ain't it a shame?" over and over and over... [sigh]
fuckety fuck fuck.

It's time for US Congress to tell these bankers and oilmen and royal gonifs to fess up, pay up, shut up and go away forever.

Tar and feather, I keep thinking.
It's all so infuriating and tragic that I can hardly bear to read or watch news stories on it.
they were also just rewarded 400+ million dollars from their insurance company. it just keeps getting more wrong!
Amen, dammit AND what Greg said.
Roy, I'm late to this post, but what a great point you make. I also noticed in today's paper that BP's First Quarter profit in 2010 was $6.1 Billion (not million, billion!). I think they can handle paying for the mess they've made.
When this nation conferred personhood on corporations, all of this was coming. Thomas Paine observed that by the time he got back from England then France, the monied men had stolen the revolution.
