Dear diary,
Well we started off on our 2 week vacation with great expections. Scott had to return to NYC for work, but will be back for the 2nd week on Saturday. I have a refrigerator full of food, but when he is not here I am not that inspired to cook. Miami Beach is beautiful and so is our condo. I have a lot of writing to do for work, but I am procrastinating - maybe today I will bite the bullet. I finally got the toilet to stop running - whew! I wanted to join the gym (Crunch) for a week's membership, but @ $35 per day? that's crazy. I'll work out at the Crystal House Gym - very nice, but a bit lonely. I have my ipod to keep me going. I have been following the Health Care Reform debate. Why don't people want access to affordable insurance? I suspect that the naysayers have never been unemployed or self-employed or have had a pre-existing condition. Just go and get a quote for an individual major medical plan and you will be converted. On another note, I can't wait to see District 9 (when Scott comes back). I bought a new book "A Madness of Angel" highly recommended at Books & Books. Just started it yesterday. Non-fiction is really my thing. On the technology front, updated my Think Pad and my Blackberry with all the bells and whistles. Still having trouble accessing my blog on the Blackberry. Finally received a response from a real person at Salon.com and they are looking into a solution to why the sign in or log in links don't work. Can't sleep more that 5 - 6 hours per night. I like to get up in the wee hours of the morning and fiddle on the computer with coffee and cigarettes. Will have to taper the cigarettes when Scott returns - who wants to kiss an ashtray? (Me?) Anyway, that's all for now. BTW, is anyone listening? I know it is mundane, but I thought I would blog it anyway.
