Well I'm in the market for an Ebook reader which should help me make the transition from audiobooks. I like the idea of listening to books, some of them have excellent product yet I still can't remember half of the book sometimes. I'm going back to something old that's also something new, the Ebook Reader.
I've only ever seen Amazon's Kindle in person so it's going to be the main focus here, but if anyone else has tried another I need to hear about it. I imagine at this point I'm only worried about price because the featuers of these ebook reader's are all pretty close. Needless to say I'll have no problems storing enough books on it.
The Kindle is lightweight, about the heaviness of a paperback book which is the key ingredient for me. I already have a phone, ipod and my netbook on me half the time...I don't really need to carry extra weight but it'll fit in my laptop case at least. With this device you can also hold up to about 1500 books...more than I'll ever need.
Some of the other notable features are 3G for downloading anywhere quickly, a built in text-to-speech feature incase I'm missing my robot reading voice and you can read for days without recharging the battery.
Here's a cool and short enough video to show you the device in action. If anyone has one of these perhaps you can take the time to let me know what problems you've had with it, if any.
