I've been house hunting within the past 6 months for my first, I'm finally ready to have my cherry popped. I recently moved to Victoria BC, but I like the investment idea that comes with a downtown condo. Many of my friends here on Salon are from the area, and we even managed to meet up this past summer...something that has had the area stuck in my mind ever since. The prices are a little wild, but you can find deals if you hunt around long enough. I had the pleasure of  meeting my Vancouver based Realtor Robert Moore, who showed me everything from $600K to $800k which is in my budget. But what really got me was when he showed me a nearly $6,000,000 penthouse situated in the heart of Yaletown...lets look at that instead of me yapping about my boxy 2 bedrooms that I looked at. 

The penthouse suite was insanely nice, and for those of you who are not familiar with the market here, it's only 2700 sq ft and has 3 bedrooms! Anyone not from here usually gets a sick look on their face when they hear what we pay for a home. I borrowed some of his listings pictures just to show you a little taste!
