Food For Foodies

While not everyone is thrilled with the foodie craze, there are plenty of people who enjoy their food. Whether it be for the lavish ingredients, the delightful taste or the affluent art aspect of it all. I for one don't need a dish with the craziest ingredients, I do however enjoy a unique and tasty dish. Most people are god damn robots and are fine eating the same 5-10 dishes for years on end. This is not for me!

For those of us who do enjoy cooking something new, something with flare, I give you a small list of my favorite foodie sites. While you'll find everything from mundane to down right insane here, they all provide a unique look at food. These are also the new generation of chefs, powered by normal people inspired to cook with a passion and push the boundaries.

Foodie Site 1) Be The Cook

Be The Cook Ss

You can find me in the online community here both chatting and providing me lame cooking videos. I'll spare myself the embarrasement and not provide any link to one of mine, but if you search hard enough you'll come upon my collection of recipes. I really like how you get the recipe list with a video of the chef cooking it up for you. This site has immensly imrpoved my cooking skills...something that helps with the ladies big time!

Foodie Site 2)  Food Buzz

Food Buzz

This is a site powered by a lot of talented foodies, chefs and bloggers who make up Food Buzz. I'm here on a daily basis gathering recipes, as well it helps me decide what to cook on any given day. This site is also great for getting feedback on your recipes, as well put yourself out there for review. The range of recipes found on here will keep you busy for years to com. Not only that, but you'll be the ultimate food nerd amongst your friends for recreating the recipes found on Food Buzz.

Foodie Site 3) Food Proof

food proof

Food Proof is another wicked site complete with not only the craziest recipes, but a great group of people. I mainly come here to lust over the food pictures and chat on the forums...something I do far too much during work hours. Most of the recipes you find on Food Proof require a decent amount of skill, so don't expect any noobs here showcasing their skills. I can almost guarantee you'll gain weight after becoming a member of this site.

Well there you have it, some of my favorite foodie sites that have been rocking the webosphere for quite some time. I would love to hear from you folks as to what websites are on your must visit list. I could most definitely add to my list of work hours browsing, and even another inch or three to my wasitline.

I hadn't heard of Food Proof before and will head over there today. However, Cheap Bastid isn't a "foo-foo foodie". There's far too much that is pretentious. It ain't about how it looks, it's about how it tastes--and for me anyway, it's about how cheaply I can something that's delicious and nutritious.
Yea I'm more of a Man vs Food kinda guy...gimme something large, cheap and GREASY!
